Ramrocks wrote in January about ankle-biting attention freak Andree McLeod, who likes to file frivolous ethics complaints against Governor Palin, costing the state tens of thousands of dollars in answering them.
Alaska Ear reports that Mr. Bill cut her off from receiving the Governor’s press releases by e-mail. When she complained, he told her:
“Andree: You were indeed dropped from our press distribution list, at my directive, as you are not a credentialed member of the news media and do not adhere to that profession’s ethical standards for disseminating information. Bill.”
Mr. Bill Attack! Of course poor Andree went whining to the ADN as soon as she could. Guess that poor Andree will now have to get her press releases off the website like the rest of us proles.
The same column reports another book in the works, with research being done in Juneau. The authors are Shushannah Walshe with Fox News, who apparently covered Sarah on the campaign trail, and Scott Conroy of CBS. I haven’t yet researched those folks in depth to see whether they’re fair journalists or not. Walshe’s stuff for Fox News, at a quick glance, seems relatively neutral, but Conroy seems to have been one of the people blaming Palin for actions of other people at campaign rallies.
UPDATE BY JR: McLeod is another Halcro type, she did not get a government job, so now she spends her evenings throwing darts at Governor Palin’s portrait. McLeod represents 50% of Halcro’s listeners.
UPDATE by Mel:
I’m interested in reading the book by Walshe and Conroy. Conroy was a little off in his reporting sometimes (he does work for CBS, after all), but, in my opinion, he was generally much more fair than others in the media. I think that by the end he may have developed a little respect for the Guv, and he certainly liked Piper. Walshe and Conroy seem to be buddies, and I think there’s a chance that they could balance each other well. This book could come down to the editing, the research that they do in Alaska, and which campaign staffers they talk to. If they only talk to people like “Gunny” French and Nicolle Wallace, then they’re going to get a skewed perspective.
