More on the Restart of the One Nation Bus Tour in Iowa/Open Thread

In case you missed it, here’s the latest video (“Always Proud”) from SarahPAC about the restart of her One Nation bus tour in Iowa and the accompanying e-mail:

Most of you know that the audio in the “Always Proud” video comes from the Governor’s speech at the 2008 Republican National Convention on September 3rd, 2008. Most of you also know that she is scheduled to give a Tea Party speech in Waukee, Iowa on September 3rd.

It’s unknown on which day the Governor will arrive in Iowa for the state fair, though an Iowa GOP activist who is close to Palin, Becky Beach, told the Des Moines Register the visit was slated for Friday.  Peter Singleton said that “It’s a perfect thing for her to come to,” he said. “She will meet a lot of Iowans — everyday folks. That’s how you campaign here, and no one is better at grassroots retail campaigning than Governor Palin. She just connects well with people of all sorts.”

CNN reports that “it appears the bus will also take Palin to Missouri and Illinois to visit the respective hometowns of former presidents Harry Truman and Ronald Reagan.”

One advantage that the Governor’s team has over other operations is that it is completely leak-proof and will only leak when it wants to leak:

A source with knowledge of the trip told ABC News that plans for an Iowa visit have been in place since at least Tuesday. As of this morning, only about four people besides Palin knew about the trip.
