"Occupy Wall Street" Protestors Considered ‘Law Abiding’ by the Nanny of NYC

A complete month has passed since the “Occupy Wall Street” protestors have parked themselves in the midst of Manhattan. Thousands of loonies have set up camp in a park across Wall Street and are adamant to remain there until their unknown demands are met.

Mayor Bloomberg, in his classic graciousness to everyone and anything except for the cities’ residents, proudly welcomed the protestors and proclaimed that they may remain indefinitely as long as they abide all the laws.

Bloomberg’s statement hasn’t come as much of a surprise to the residents of NYC, since the city is one of the centers of liberalism and is led by an environmentalist power-hungry liberal. Its dedication and allegiance is thus solely to the planet, the environment, and the liberal agenda. His failed attempts to appeal to the protestors simply mirrors his past behaviors such as his applause and support for the Ground Zero Mosque or his immediate jump to blame tea partiers when a bomb was discovered in Time Square.

Bloomberg’s statement may at first glance appear to be reasonable and fair, except when one take note of the total lack of action towards the lawlessness amongst the protestors, in a city where minor offenses meet harsh punishments.

In a city where meter maids and traffic cops have replaced many regular cops, additional regulations are passed regarding every step an individual takes, and fines for the slightest offense becomes the norm, Bloomberg’s treatment of the protestors is extremely ironic. Why, for damaging a public tree one can be slapped with a fine of up to $15,000 and/or imprisonment anywhere from 90 days to a complete year.  However, apparently defecating, urinating and having sex in public, open drug dealing and many other crimes committed by the protestors  aren’t considered criminal enough for it to be considered as not “abiding the laws” although ordinary citizens would’ve long been handcuffed and fined for lesser actions.

The fact that the place has become a public bathroom in addition to a garbage dump hasn’t concerned Bloomberg in the least. This is actually surprising from the mayor who’s notorious for the large fines handed out because of a stray piece of paper the wind has blown over onto your property or even onto the road within 12 inches of the sidewalk. Apparently it wasn’t the cleanliness or lack of it that spurred him to create these laws, but the additional venue to milk some money out of the citizens while promoting a noble cause.

One can thereby understand Bloomberg’s comments in the face of the blatant lawlessness and his apathy towards the protestors’ actions. Since these individuals are obviously broke, and fining them would be a waste of time since it’s guaranteed to never be paid, why not pretend instead that no laws have been broken? Besides, why bother enforcing the laws if those committing the crimes aren’t tax-paying citizens or a part of those dangerous tea party right wingers?

I guess some of these protestors will have to chop down a tree, make a salt and trans-fat party, or commit some other liberal offense for the nanny of the state to realize that not all laws are being abided.

The irony is those protesters are protesting against Crony Capitalism!

    • SonOfOriginalTed

…which leads me to contemplate a need for an "Occupy for Palin" Movement!

      • 01_Explorer_01

If they had half a brain they would watch the Undefeated movie.

        • SonOfOriginalTed

Team Palin should figure a way to tap into this big time!

          • SonOfOriginalTed

This should be Palin turf, not Obama’s

            • SonOfOriginalTed

Combine them with Tea Party and Indy’s and you got a new dominant party (with the GOP as third party)

Yes, I wonder what her thoughts are on this issue and if she will make a comment on it.  We need her leadership.

            • IwjwI

Go back and watch Sarah’s St. Charles speech. She addresses the OWS issue.

Hi RecKoner this when I wish we all used our we names  my name is patrick I understand your point but my point all night has been that many people are out there for a rejection of bth parties and the bailouts  we should reach out those people

well it seems that is along the lines of what Gov. Palin’s message was.  We’re not in Boston so we dont’ know the situation there.  Sounds like it’s quite a bit different than NY.  And Wall St. is full of corruption

    • palin45potus

      Ain’t it amazing!

If they were to watch her Iowa speech with an open and sober mind, and could forget that Jon Stewart might make fun of them for actually thinking for themselves, they’d realize that Sarah Palin has already figured out what we must do to fix this mess, get the economy going again, and then they could finally earn the money they were counting on when they took out those big student loans way back when.

      sigh!

  • cuttingboardblues

It’s funny.  For about the past year now, nearly everyday, I’ve seen someone get ticketed while sitting on the stairs or landing while waiting for a train.  Great revenue raiser.  I’ve even seen a pregnant woman get ticketed.  Yet this is legal?  Bloomy is scum.

    • http://www.facebook.com/people/John-Norton/100002228997007 John Norton

      Thats putting it kindly…

    • friskyness

New York gets what it voted for.  Bloomberg should have been finished in 2008, but he petitioned for a third term and New York City voted him in for 4 more years.  If New York City is happy with this terrorist than who am I to complain.  I don’t live there.

  • misterlogic0013

The owners are in the OB tank, green movement, they received million from OB…Bloomberg isn’t going to do anything…this has been planed for a long time.  NYC has to clean their own house, we will clean the W/H…2012…everything is on the line..SARAH..

  • Massachusettspalinsupporter

Again we need to reach out to the ones that we can. They are protesting against crony capitialism. The people bashing them are the Politcial class that bashes Sarah. As Sarah said some our just hippies but some  are people angry that neither party listening to the people and the bailouts and corporate wellfare It is not left or right is th PPC against the rest of us The GOP does not care about unborn children  they only care about  protecting big business otherwise Sarah would be the frontrunner and romney would have been forced out. The biggest problem is that Ralph Nader is the exception most on the left are either too dumb or are too bigoted against Pro- life Catholics and Evangelicals to form an alliance People Like Chris Matthews and Ed Shultz are part of the ellite

    • SonOfOriginalTed

I can see a Palin facebook statement coming real soon!!!

      • section9

Yeah, some long overdue leadership from Palin is in order. However a speech would be nice. Facebook Posts in the absence of a campaign just don’t have the same effect.

        • Massachusettspalinsupporter

          third party

          • parigger

Looks like the only way to me. Don’t know much about brokered conventions ,but do know their are no replacements for Sarah. Spent last two years getting my finances in order to support her campaign ,guess i’ll have to hold onto it a little longer . At any rate no other candidate has earned my support for potus. Also occupiers are not only not on the same plane as the Tea Party but  not even on the same planet. They are polar opposites . Tea Party wants you to earn your own way on level playing field with smaller limited guv, while the occupiers want someone else to pay for thier tuition, housing ,food and loafing (as in 99 wks unemployment isn’t enough).Nice gig if you can get it …. NOT….. So I Stand With Sarah 2012

            • Massachusettspalinsupporter

Hi I stand wth sarah too Some of these wso are talking about coporations having too much power which is something we can agree with

            • Massachusettspalinsupporter

              I agree

    • susiepuma

I will not be embracing any of those unwashed mobs – trying to equate what they are doing to the TEA Party movement is fantasy beyond belief.  Have you seen their demands?  Go read them and then tell me that any of them are pertinent to the TEA Party principles……………..

This is a planned, coordinated sinister movement orchestrated by the left with Soros and his minons and they are using these morons to start a civil/class war in the USA – violence will be breaking out soon because the unwashed pigs with the plastic masks are the professional protestors and they are all over the world doing their nasty crap.  This, IMO, is part of a plan to declare a martial law and suspend elections……………………might be tin foil hat time but I would not put anything past these monsters………………………………….

      • Massachusettspalinsupporter

hi point well taken instead of getting down to the level of the of the people who attack the tea party I am just suggesting we reach out to the people who are not crazy. I agree about to the demands.in New  York. But that is kind of the issue with this "Movement"  Here in Boston they are talking about both parties being the problem and and the power of coporations in goverment.
When John Kerry tried to claim them one the leaders here in Boston said "John Kerry is part of the Problem "  I don’t disagree with this being staged but how we handle it can make a difference

        • http://pulse.yahoo.com/_QD2LDVA2DQZ4P2M3BRDZLUOU4M Vicki

they have a few good ideas, but otheres are totally ridiculous therefore rendering it all nonsense.
          forgive all debt.
why should my bank forgive my mortgage? or anybody’s

          • Massachusettspalinsupporter

YOUR right i am just saying lets try to reach out to the ones who are there for the right reasons and again they are very different in every city the debt forgiveness is New York

            • Guest

Good luck.  I tried to have this conversation and was called a Marxist maggot.

I see where you’re coming from though.

Lenin called em useful idiots   Still Stand with Palin

  • Palinpower

Zuccotti Park where these protestors are hanging out is private property, owned by Brookfield Properties. Brookfield has received government handouts in the past for Green initiatives and the like, so there you have the connection. Even though they want to clear them out, the politicos they are aligned to have put pressure on them as well as the unons to back off. It is all a crony scheme. But the location was well picked ahead of time and for good reason in NY.

    • Dagobomb

They don’t need permission by the owners. The place is a polluted health hazzard and should be treated as such. The owners should be subjected to heavy fines based on that. They can even condemn the property as a health hazard.

    • http://pulse.yahoo.com/_QD2LDVA2DQZ4P2M3BRDZLUOU4M Vicki

it’s a public park on private property. makes no sense to me, but that’s what I heard reported on the news.

  • sarahhasmyvote

Mayor Bloomberg, are you hard at work with your vote tally perhaps?

  • sarahhasmyvote

Michelle is great, thanks for the link.

The Communist Party USA and The American Nazi Party have made public pronouncements of their support. The Chicago demonstrations had a large contingent of communists who didn’t even try to pretend who they were. Any public official in sympathy with these cretins should have this wrapped around their necks.

  • c4pfan

The Mayor is a typical Republican.

Bloomberg is a life long typical  Democrat,
Registered R to ride on Rudy’s successful coattails in 2001
then registered Independent but is still Democrat

Keeping up with the news and knowing history is important

  • Massachusettspalinsupporter

Hi everybody if I did not have three young children I would probably be out there in Boston  Please don’t get mad but I saw this as a rejection of  both parties and attack against crony capitialism. Again this is in Boston. This movement is very different in differnt cities. Name calling ( and this is not a critism of anybody here at c4p) is not the way to go. I am a union public school teacher and what I am saying to peope is that Barack  Obama  and Mitt Romney are both owned by the one percent if you want somebody who is not for sale and has record of tking on big business while having a "good working relationship with labor"  I have the candidate for you

    • section9

If #OWS hadn’t been taken over by the Obama people, I’d be more sympathetic. And yes, Romney and Obama are both owned by the Bankster Cartel that runs the country.

Sadly, the candidate we are both thinking of isn’t in the race right now.

      • Massachusettspalinsupporter

very true I am just saying lets not write them all off  no matter what they say these occupations should be called OBAMAVILLES

seems pointless to me. the only people who are impressed by this are people who already agreed with them.

These kids seem to be a combination of PaulBots and Nader Raiders and Hippie peacenicks. On the surface just like every other do gooder feel good program the Left comes up with seems really great on an emotional level. But the problem is the fix is not what will cure the problem.  They all seem to think that Uncle Sam is the answer.

  • PattyinMD

I am hoping for a few inches of unexpected Global warming(snow).  Gotta wonder how long these spoiled brats will last in the cold.

While the media is busy packaging this group like a Norman Rockwell painting, I’m waiting for them to tell the story of the shopowners and restaurants in the area whose business is being negatively affected.

Why is it that no one in power ever seems to give a damn about those of us who live our lives in a respectful manner, who give more than we take from this country?

Oh that’s right…………….Sarah gave a damn about us, is one of us, and they ran her out of town.

    • parigger

Don’t think they ran her out of town . She’s reloading      Sarah 2012

This absolutely exposes Mayor Mike as the pro-socialist liberal nanny stater hypocrite that he is. This movement suits his purpose so he lets the pot smoking and defecating go. He has to be in on the worldwide "New World Order" movement in order to allow this disgrace to continue in his city.

We’ve bankrupted the country with two expensive and pointless wars. American industry was outsourced for the benefit of the fatcats. Financial capitalism, which creates NO wealth but only ACCRUES it to a handful at the top, replaced industrial capitalism. The Roberts’ court through "Citizens United" said that American government is effectively for sale and that those who were once American citizens have become peasants and serfs. Everyone now sees that his/her "leaders," with the exception of a small few, are on the take

And people wonder why middle America is angry? No one should say they didn’t see this coming.
