We Now Have The Resources To Run The Palin Reconsider Television Ad In The Sioux City, Iowa Market Next Week

Your contributions have made it possible for us to run the Palin reconsider television ad next week in the Sioux City, Iowa market. Thanks to everyone who chipped in to make it possible.

You’ll be able to see the ad that will be shown on televisions on KCAU-TV across the Sioux City, Iowa market on this blog and on youtube when it goes up next week. If you have any ideas on how to get this story more attention, let us know and feel free to push it yourself to people who may be interested. The target date for this ad going up is now November 29th as the Thanksgiving holidays pushed our initial target date of November 28th back. At the very latest, we expect to get it up on the Sioux City market on the 30th.

What we do next after the television ad goes up is a more difficult question. If this ad is able to build some momentum for the Governor, the best way to keep that momentum going may be to commission a national GOP primary poll that includes the Governor as one of the options. We’ll see if it’s possible given our resources. We’re open to other ideas but the greatest challenge may be that time is running short for her to reconsider.

I think the "national GOP primary poll" is a great idea… is there any way that could be handled on line with any degree of accuracy…?

Is it not possible to draft her as late as the convention?

    • Mrl Tav

I agree the poll is a good way to amp it up.

      • Pete Daniels Band

Supporters and fans need to help defend Gov. Palin on some of the big news sites, because the movement, the ad, and Gov. Palin are getting bashed all over the place.

Frankly, that is the #1 issue w/ any Palin candidacy talk as I see it – her base just isn’t committed enough in it’s defense of Palin on popular news sites frequented by millions of users each day.  As a result, pro-Palin commenters are scared away and the general public leaves those stories with the perception that nobody takes a Sarah Palin candidacy seriously.

This advertisement is (to date) the crescendo of the C4P effort. It’s sad to see national coverage of the Reconsider movement followed by uninterrupted bashing of the effort. There needs to be more pro-Palin voices commenting on these stories.
        Here, take a peek.

        • dmac8889

Pete, I find it amusing that the Yahoo account article has kept the comments section open to ATTACK AWAY at Sarah Palin, but the WSJ Op-ed that Sarah wrote, where positive comments were to be found, closed their page.  The truth be told most Palin supporters are willing to discuss Sarah Palin or issues of the day, but who wants to blog against "losers" who have nothing to add to civil discourse.  They don’t even bother to comment about the actual article, they go right into personal attacks on someone trying to have civil discourse.  Like having a conversation whose mind is in another world.

  • patnatasha

    this is exciting.

  • Y123

  • Sue Lynn

Love the ad and was glad to donate…will do more if things get rolling!!!

  • patnatasha

I have goosebumps just thinking about it. and i can’t imagine what the establishment is going to think about this.

  • JennyNoles

I have tried twice to send an email to the GOP using the address someone gave on another thread.  The address posted was  I even changed it to and it still came back.  Can someone give me a correct email to send a message to the GOP.  Thanks.

Do you have a typo in there?  Isn’t it  Don’t think there is an "e" in there but I’m not sure.

    • travelingon

      try info without the e

      • JennyNoles

Thanks.  I think I typed it as it was given on the thread, but I will try without the e.  It was a stinging email for trying to push Mittens off on us after the sorry 2008 nominee.  Told them had it not been for the Guv, McLame hobbitt would not have gotten my vote.  Really happy to see the ad going up.  I don’t have money to contribute to it now, but should it affect her dicision, I will find ways to give to her campaign.

        • Peter4011

I’m sorry, you can’t spell a four letter word? And you vote? God help us.

          • Jasmine Clark

idiot. she didn’t spell the word wrong, the person who originally posted on the thread did!!

            • $10089747

Sorry, I did not put an e in the address.

          • Kathleen

I have a data entry job.  I work with accounts, that include email addresses.  You would not believe how many different ways people will spell things so they can have a particular email address.  I know this is an address to a major political party, so it probably should have been obvious, but considering how many different variations people use to create unique email addresses, it’s not as "stupid" a blunder to think that "" might be the official address.  Be kind.  Next time it might be you making the "stupid" mistake.

    • $10089747

Correct address is drop the e Thanks for trying, keep it going.

  • MoiraCrooks

My nephew’s wife is a news producer for one of the other competing stations in the Sioux City, IA market. She works for KTIV-TV so I am not sure she would be interested in covering a competing channel’s ad. I can check and see if she shows any interest.

    • patnatasha

anything to get the word out.

    • Nichama

      Have you seen this Moira?

How many of us missed the LETTERS TO THE EDITOR in the WSJ Nov. 23 which responded to Gov. Palin’s Nov. 18 op-ed "How Congress Occupied Wall Street"?

ALL OF THEM WERE POSITIVE, one began: "Despite the flak Sarah Palin takes from the left for being a ‘political lightweight,’ her Nov. 18 comments demonstrate that she is far more insightful and astute than the collective body of today’s Congress.

      "Here’s the link:

After you finished hugging yourself SENT IT ON.

      Palin forever
      just posted on another thread

  • jeffo1

THANK YOU VERY MUCH….we hardcore palinista’s appreciate it.

  • wisetrog

This is gobsmackingly wonderful. I feel so proud of your guys.

  • midwestprincesse

So how does this work?  Does it get played one time for 30 seconds to a min.? So exciting!

    So, will Sarah see this?

We need to bombard Rush, Levin, Greta and Hannity so they talk about the ad being played in IA so the whole nation hears about it.

    Thanks for doing this–very exciting!

  • Bill589

It will be nice if FOX and others cover the fact that Palinistas have done this.  If it was for TPaw, or anybody else, they would.  I pray for justice to be done.  Fair and balanced reporting would be nice for a change too.

    • Lourdes Strohbeck

If FOX wants a rating they will discuss the ads.

    • Pete Petretich

That would be sweet if Bannon Brietbart and Co. start a real Tea Party TV network to directly compete with the Fox News Rino network.

      • lanahi

We definitely need our own TV network!

  • Exgunman

Somewhat OT and I Know it is Politico, but an interesting read regarding Republican/RNC rules and what could poss happen in Tampa:

    • papersonusa

There’s a link in the Latest on Politico area, "Palin fans plan to run Iowa ad", quoting C4P:

  • Pete Petretich

Depending on how things shape up in the next few months, it may be better for her to run as an Independent. Those "deadlines" and weird rules people keep talking about are defined by the GOP, often behind closed doors at the state level.

If she runs as the leader of a truly Independent team then she has a lot more room to maneuver as far as the calendar goes.

    • ProudAmerican247

I’m being redundant, but she did say it would be "unconventional" if she ran.

So maybe she was hinting toward the ‘Independent’ route.

An (I) behind her name suits her!

Go for it!  Join Todd. He’d be proud.

Headlines: "Sarah Palin Running As An Independent"

It certainly would drive the GOP nuts!

And that would be a good thing! ;)

      • Pete Petretich

        Another thing:

Her buddy Joe Lieberman has successfully and officially been an "Independent" Senator for years, but he mostly caucuses with the Democrats.

I don’t want to push for this, but it may happen.

        • USMAgrandma

Pete, I don’t believe it is necessary for the President to caucus with anyone……

          • Pete Petretich

Good! That’s even more reason for her to run as an independent, concerned citizen.

Who needs the frickin’ GOP anyway?

      • Patriot41

You apparently have no idea of what it takes to run as an Independent in this country, or you would not even be thinking such things.

        • ProudAmerican247

You obviously don’t have any idea that if Sarah runs, she’ll have all the money she needs.

Think about that before you talk so foolish.

P.S. Ya gonna pick on Pete too, who commented above your nonsensical comment?
BTW…there’s other members here that like the idea of an ‘Independent’ run too.
Better give them a good talking to, too, if you want to waste your time.

          • penguin_boy

OK, from where is she going to get a multimillion dollar war chest in less than two months? Read this:

Three-quarters of the voting US public doesn’t think she should run! Who do you really think is going to make big donations to someone with numbers like that? I’m not trying to be partisan, just pointing out the reality that you seem determined to ignore. Outside her small, enthusiastic, fanbase, Gov. Palin has horrendous poll numbers and a terrible popularity number.

Do you really think people are going to flock to someone who abruptly resigned her post as Governor? The question in every head (fueled by ads that write themselves) will be "what happens when things get rough in the White House? Does President Palin announce that things have gotten too difficult and quit?

I’m sorry, but that one act destroyed her electability in American politics.

            • ProudAmerican247

If Sarah Palin would have stuck with it, what do you think would have happened?
              1. The frivolous complaints would have continued.
              2. The expense to the state of Alaska would have escalated into millions of dollars more.
              3. The Governor and her administration’s work would have continued at a standstill.
              4. The Palins would have gone bankrupt.
              5. Her enemies would have screamed bloody murder: How dare you continue in your roll; not giving a rip that millions are being spent to defend you. You are a coward; Hiding under your desk, not getting anything done for the people. The honorable thing to do would have been to resign, you coward! That’s what they would have said, mark my words.
              Question for you penguin boy:
What should have Sarah done? Should she have resigned or hung in there?
(When she resigned, complaints stopped; financial bleeding stopped; Administrative work began again with new Governor.)

Should she have resigned or hung in there?
P.S. Polls are for strippers and cross country skiers.
P.P.S. Do you know WHAT "" represents?

Answer: "We’re an online journal of politics and foreign affairs analysis. For the most part, our views are Classical Liberal."

              Enough said.

              • penguin_boy

I served as an Airborne Ranger. There’s a line in our Creed that states "Surrender is not a Ranger word."

I would have stayed in office to do the job I was elected to do. I would have fought false accusations to my last breath, and stood my ground. If the Alaskan legislature wanted me out of office, they would either have to impeach me or hire a gunman. It’s called integrity and courage.

You’ve just admitted that Sarah Palin lacks both. That when faced with a difficult challenge, she cuts and runs. You want that track record in the White House? Someone who is fine with holding power until things get bad?

By the way, the reason the ethics charges vanished is they were directed against the Governor, not the person. Palin is no longer Governor, no point in continuing. I also find it interesting how you phrase the end her half-term: "When she resigned, complaints stopped; financial bleeding stopped; Administrative work began again with new Governor." So you are telling me that her term was a disaster.

Polls, done correctly are a great way to model feelings on broad topics. I specifically picked one referenced by FOX News. Open your eyes. Outside this fanatical following, no one in America wants Gov. Palin to run for anything.

By the way, strippers and cross-country skiers use *poles*.

                • ProudAmerican247

Sarah Palin put the people of her state before self.

Her term a disaster? A few corrupt people went to jail that’s all. Minor thing.

Took on big oil and WON. Minor thing.

She resigned so the complaints would stop and therefore the state wouldn’t lose money investigating the foolishness.

Again, putting the people of her state before self.

You don’t think that took guts?

"fanatical following"….ya jealous?  What the H do you care? You don’t like it take a hike!

"*Polls* are for strippers and cross country skiers" is a play on words…lighten up.

You’re lost. Go back to your liberal sites. You’re not fooling anybody here.

  • blerch

If there are resources to eventually get this up in the Des Moines market, that would be great.  Whether or not that happens, the ultimate goal is for this ad to go viral and be seen by the general public, not just Palinistas and a few people in Iowa.  Everyone should push it in any way they can.  We may want to think about getting word of this to Greta.  My bet is that she would cover this.

In my opinion, this is only the beginning.  Whatever happens with this ad, I think the next step is for people in Iowa to caucus for her.  Think what would happen if she were to get 5% or more there.  It would be impossible to ignore, and my guess is that would get more coverage than the actual winner of the caucus.  Now, I know some here will jump all over me and say that doing this is disrespectful to her and not taking into account her wishes.  However, this kind of thing is not unprecedented, and it is exactly how the people got Eisenhower to agree to run in 1952.  For 4 years, Eisenhower repeatedly turned down requests to run from both parties.  In the 1952 GOP primary in New Hampshire, the people decided to take matters into their own hands.  They wrote in his name without his consent.  He won the primary.  He was moved by this, realized he was being called to serve, and agreed to become a candidate.  Conservatives in Iowa caucusing for her is the next logical step in this movement.  Doing this will send a message that the current field is inadequate and we have found the leader we want representing us.

I personally want to say that we should all be proud of what we are doing.  Contrary to what some on this site say, this is not a selfish act at all.  We are doing what we feel needs to be done to save our country.  As far as I’m concerned, this is the epitome of a selfless act.  Maybe this is a lost cause, but that’s okay.  It’s worth it.  As the saying goes, "the only truly worthwhile causes fighting for are lost causes."

    • M_Minnesota

I believe if Palin gets 10% in the Iowa Cacus she gets some delegates at the RNC Convention.

  • helensimon

Anybody know Eric Bolling? I KNOW he’d mention it & maybe even play it on his shows. It’s NEWS after all, something they crave! Maybe Hannity, too!

I emailed to see if I could send a check, but haven’t heard back. =(

    • blerch

Bolling is a good idea.  He is a big supporter and really wants her to be in the race.

      • Frances Kay Branham

Yes, he certainly is:  A couple days ago on "the 5″ he said "Sarah Palin –  she isn’t running but I wish she would."

    • Rich Hahn

Greta would be good as well.

      • Frances Kay Branham

maybe it’s just me, but I thought I detected a certain coolness fromGreta when she has had Sarah on her show the last 2 or 3 times.  Cut her short at the end when she wanted to end the interview,   which I know she sometimes does with guests,   but I have seen her end an interview with warmth too,   and seemed there was none for Sarah.   paranoia on my part??

        • Ceejay

Yes, something was amiss between Greta and Sarah, unless Greta had marching order from Ailes?? Just do not know but had same observation.

        • $8196935

No, I don’t see that with Greta.  I also thinks she attempts to be more even since
she has done several features in Alaska, etc with Sarah not to mention Greta’s husband
having done some advising for Sarah a while back.

          • dmac8889

I guess on my part, but I believe Sarah will be reaching out to other networks in the near future, perhaps CNN.  Greta is probably aware of this.  Lets be honest if you were an employee of Ailes and he treated you the way he has treated Sarah, you might consider a lawsuit for Harassment, let alone be looking for another place to work.  Sarah will be working for another Network within a year.  Greta knows this.

      • USMAgrandma

        Fox probably wouldn’t run it….

    • lanahi

Drudge could report it as news too.
After her announcement, Drudge emailed Levin and said "Sad day for the country."

    • dmac8889

Bolling was not an original convert.  He first thought she was a circus act, until he made an effort to learn about her and follow what she said.  He finally understood why there are people who believe that Sarah Palin is as good a leader as the Conservative movement has.  He came a long way to become of convert of hers.  He has done what few americans have done.  educate himself.

  • gary truga

Obama already knows that he can easily beat any of the present GOP candidates. It was Palin that he was afraid of. I think that she can get the GOP nomination and beat him but it will take a great deal of campaigning. I’ll give any much money as I can to her campaign. I want her in the WH!

  • Ceejay

We the people will make that 10.3 earthquake, hear us and the Mama grizzlies roar!

    Let’s roll!

  • mkp03

Beware…..I suspect there may be disparaging comments in the MSM about supporters of this ad.  I hope I am wrong.

    • JennyNoles

In order to do that they have to pull their heads out of Oblah’s butt long enough to realize what’s going on.  Maybe by that time the ad will have had it’s effect.  Run Sarah.  Can you hear us.  WE ARE THE EARTHQUAKE!!!

    • bsbutterfly

Don"t let any disparaging comments get anyone on c4p down. All of you are doing a fine job. And it is the right thing to do. Best of luck from long time reader.

    • Bill589

Your comment made me laugh. Nothing personal though, but you might give the LSM too much credit.

Of course there will be disparaging remarks in the LSM about anything to do with Sarah Palin.
If they can ignore something positive, they will.  If they can’t ignore it, they’ll disparage it.

After the Oct 5th stunner, I commented on every blog to start developing a TV blitz. Visual ads have the highest degree of impact and retention. "Can Sarah Palin betcha"
