Governor Palin: “Restricting More of America’s Freedoms When It Comes To Self-Defense Isn’t The Answer”

The Governor made the following comments about the shooting in Aurora, Colorado:

Palin called the shooting “a manifestation of evil – very, very tragic.” She added that “I’m very sad that that happened.”

Asked whether the shooting should affect gun policy, she said, “the bad guys, the criminals, don’t follow laws and restricting more of America’s freedoms when it comes to self-defense isn’t the answer. Not when you consider what the reality is. Bad guys don’t follow laws.”

She paused when asked whether Hollywood had any involvement in the shooting and said, “Who knows what went into that deranged shooter’s mind?”
