Does this analogy work? James Dolan to Jeremy Lin is Mitt Romney/GOP establishment to Sarah Palin.
Is it worth it for the Governor to accept a speaking engagement at the convention if she’s given a time slot that is intended to disrespect her but also provide Romney with cover to claim that he provided her with a role? It’s not selfish to expect respect in any area of life when you’ve earned it. I don’t see any reason why she shouldn’t receive the same slot that Rudy Giuliani received in 2008.
