Obama: ‘You Can’t Change Washington from the Inside’

Kind of an odd admission coming from a guy who’s stated purpose for running for president was that he was the one guy on the planet, the Messiah if you will, who could end the partisanship in Washington, turn back the waters, heal the planet, etc., etc., etc. I guess times have changed:

So if the “most important lesson” he’s learned “is that you can’t change Washington from the inside”,  why’s he running for re-election? Why spend hundreds of millions of dollars and go through all the hassle of a four-year long re-election campaign to take a job he’s just declared to be meaningless? Why not kick back in the choom wagon, save all that time and money, and transform Washington from the outside — the only place he says it can be changed from? I don’t get it.
