This is ludicrous — and typical Obama — on at least three levels. First, does Obama really believe that the appointment of another government bureaucrat, whether you call him a czar, a secretary, or King of the World, will do anything to stimulate private sector jobs? Does Obama think a Department of Business would be any more successful at creating jobs than, for example, Steven Chu’s Department of Energy is at creating energy? Second, and perhaps funniest of all, is his oxymoronic contention that the creation of another cabinet level department over which his new “Secretary of Business” will preside would in any way “streamline government”. Finally, Obama engages in the obligatory blame shifting for his own incompetence we’ve come to expect. George Bush’s fault? No, in this case it’s that evil Congress that his party controlled completely for the first two years of his presidency and which still controls the Senate. I wonder if the individuals who conducted this interview were able to keep a straight face. Probably so, since it was his rapt disciples on MSNBC’s Morning Joe to whom he granted the interview. Shocking that. Click the image below to watch.
