    My Dear Friends in Sarah,

    THE day has come!

I plan to spend much of the day in prayer for our country.

Below are the remarks (in two sections) that I posted on her magnificent interview with Greta last night.

I shall check in here from time to time, and, if obama goes down today, I shall rejoice with you all, and open a bottle of champagne, I think, to celebrate.

I may also watch "Mr. Smith Goes to Washington," or the Governor’s 2008 RNC "Lipstick" speech, or both, by way of celebration!!!

God bless, my friends … always!!

    Greetings again, Everyone!

Below are the remarks that I posted earlier on her interview with Greta. I have ADDED some FURTHER observations below the initial ones.

    Sarah on Greta:

She looked so bright and ebullient and confident!!

Re the Evangelical vote: After what the DNC did this summer "trying to boot God out of their written platform," she thinks these voters may come out and vote in good numbers.

Christian voters are tolerant, in contrast to the picture of them painted by the Left.

The LSM would like to IGNORE the Faith-based community, those who see the DIMINISHED RELIGIOUS FREEDOM under obama.

The LSM wants to pretend that they don’t exist, or that they are all WHITE–in fact, it is a diverse group, and she gives examples.

Hispanics should feel welcome in the GOP: They are pro-family, pro-life, and desire economic opportunities.

Re Republican strategy in relation to Hispanics, she humorously disavows knowledge of what the GOP "hierarchy" does!

She still hasn’t had a chance to take a deep breath and look back at 2008 (my remark–because she has been fighting so hard during the CRISIS created by obama’s "election"!)

She cites 2 Chronicles, 7, 14 (if I got that right)–If my people will humble themselves, etc., I WILL HEAL THEIR LAND.

This was another scintillating interview by the Governor.

I shall have more on it later on tonight or early tomorrow.

    God bless, All!!

When she was speaking about the pro-life views of so many Hispanics, she said, "A child is the most wonderful ingredient in this sometimes mixed-up world that we are in today."

I cannot prove it, but I strongly suspect that she was thinking of her precious TRIG as she pronounced these words. This issue is not a matter of mere DRY DOCTRINE for the Governor (no insult intended to doctrine, of course!), but a living and precious and flesh-and-blood reality for her!!!!

Re the last four years, the bleak obama years, she says, "Our country certainly has moved ‘Forward’ in many ways that aren’t necessarily good for the country."

Notice the TYPOGRAPHY that I have used in quoting the Governor.

I am fairly certain that my capitalization and my use of interior, single quotation marks (for a quote within a quote) are correct: ‘Forward’

Sarah was alluding to and subtly mocking obama’s campaign slogan, "Forward"!!!–Brilliant!

Further, she says that the PLANKS of the Republican Party should appeal to Hispanic voters, especially on issues of the family, issues of life, issues of the economy.

However, she DISAVOWS knowledge of what the strategy of the GOP "hierarchy" is re Hispanics.

This is an implicit indictment of Republican strategy in this area that is all the more damning the more quiet and subtle that it is.

If the GOP message SHOULD appeal to Hispanics, but has not done so heretofore, who are the ones who are to blame?

    The big-shots of the GOP!!!

She implies that the Republicans have been DROPPING THE BALL in this matter. In different circumstances, and at the right moment, she will, I believe, announce her own POSITIVE STRATEGY for recruiting a group that should naturally vote CONSERVATIVE!!

The Left AND the GOPe, I believe, are terrified that, along with so many other groups of Americans, the Hispanic community will become enthusiastic and passionate supporters of the Governor!!

Finally, I return to her citation of 2 Chronicles, 7, 14 in the context of the matter of the Evangelical vote (see above).

IMHO, this is one of the more profound statements that the Governor has ever made in any of her interviews.

The question posed by Greta concerned the Faith-based VOTE.

Sarah turned the discussion to a much deeper track and course.

She says, in effect, that Evangelicals HAVE been taking action to oust obama and heal our Land, but that it has been the quiet, hidden action of prayer, of reparation, of sacrifice, of atonement.

They will ALSO VOTE, she says, but they may have SEEMED to be less active politically, may have seemed to be under the political radar, so to speak, because their focus has been on interior action, not on exterior action!!

I may observe that, in this warfare and fight for our country, we must wield and brandish a DOUBLE-EDGED SWORD, a blade that we swing both in the world of politics and in the world of the spirit!

The Governor was reassuring us, I think, that, while many religious people have been focused on the goals expressed in 2 Chronicles, 7, 14, those of SPIRITUAL ACTION, they WILL VOTE TOO!!

    God bless you all always!!

    Our Sarah Always!!

     Good morning all.

Long before "public spending" became a topic of national debate Gov. Palin has fought to reduce spending and to enforce fiscal discipline as governor of Alaska.

Gov.Palin has drastically reduced the growth of the state budget, which has helped to produce a record budget surplus.
Alaska had its bond rating raised to AAA for the first time in the state’s history, largely due to fiscal improvements brought about by Sarah Palin while she was governor.

Some links with information about Gov.Palin’s (impressive) fiscal record.

‘Palin’s Jobs Record Beats All Others in the GOP Field’

    From the article:

"In terms of bringing down state unemployment rates versus the national average, Palin leads all other governors and former governors in the GOP field"

‘Governor Palin–Leading the Fight on Debt and Liabilities ; comparing and contrasting the records of Governors Palin, Perry, Pawlenty, Romney, and Huntsman in dealing with state debt and liabilities’

Sarah Palin: A Record of Fiscal Conservatism (Part 1)

    From the article:

"Sarah Palin served as Mayor/City Manager of Wasilla, Alaska from October 14, 1996 to October 14, 2002. As such, Palin was responsible for preparing, submitting, and executing the City’s annual budget for fiscal years 1997 through 2003. During this seven-year period, the City’s General Fund averaged an annual surplus of roughly $2.5 million, as illustrated in the chart below. Palin inherited a surplus of just $350,000 from her predecessor John Stein (fiscal year 1996). By 2003 she had grown the surplus to almost $3 million, with a 22.4% increase in revenue and a 15.6% reduction in spending."

Sarah Palin: A Record of Fiscal Conservatism (Part 2)

    From the article:

"Sarah Palin served as Governor of the State of Alaska from December 4, 2006 to July 26, 2009. As such, Palin exercised authority over the State’s annual budget for fiscal years 2008, 2009, and 2010. At the end of fiscal year 2007, Gov. Frank Murkowski, Palin’s immediate predecessor (whom she defeated in the 2006 Republican gubernatorial primary), left the State’s General Fund with a balance of roughly $7.6 billion. During the three fiscal years for which Gov. Palin oversaw the budget, the General Fund averaged an annual surplus of more than $2.6 billion, resulting in a total increase of $7.9 billion ? more than 100% ? over the fiscal year 2007 balance."

Sarah Palin: A Record of Fiscal Conservatism (Part 3)

    From the article:

"Requests for federal earmarks declined dramatically in each of the fiscal years for which Sarah Palin exercised budgetary authority for the State of Alaska. In FY2007, Gov. Frank Murkowski requested $350 million in federal appropriations, which Gov. Palin reduced to $256 million in FY2008, $198 million in FY2009, and $69 million in FY2010. Overall, Palin cut earmark requests by more than 80% during her tenure as Governor."

‘Governor Palin on the Issues: Monetary Policy’

    From the article:

"Governor Palin stands firmly against the actions of the federal government in policies which simultaneously devalue our dollar, drive up our debt and leave us dependent on foreign sources of energy. She also stands against the actions of the Fed which inflate prices at a time when Americans are already on tight budgets and do nothing to aid employment."

Another credit rating agency, Standard and Poor’s upgraded Alaska’s credit rating to its highest possible rating of AAA. The agency gives several reasons why it felt confident enough in Alaska’s fiscal climate to make such an upgrade. A few of these reasons are due directly to the policies implemented by Governor Palin.

Paul Gigot: Governor Palin “Leading the Pack” on Monetary Policy  (November ,2010)

    From the article:

"In a Wall Street Journal editorial  the editors noted the degree of sophistication Governor Palin is bringing to the table as she attempts to focus the nation’s attention on the disastrous repercussions which must result from a further inflating of the currency.

Specifically, she referred to QE2, the Fed’s plan to pump another $600 billion to as much as $1 trillion into the economy via the purchase of U.S. government securities. Paul Gigot, editor of the Wall Street Journal editorial page, discusses the editorial and Governor Palin in the video."

    Palin v. Bernanke.
Her Warning To the Fed Chairman Puts Her Out in Front on the Debate on the Dollar

    From the article:

"One of the questions in respect of 2012 is how it has happened that the only major Republican figure, aside from Congressman Ron Paul, to stand up and be counted on the dollar is Sarah Palin."

    Four More Years?

    From the article:

"These are the pictures of an administration. Every image is a key image from the presidency of Barack Obama. And every image is the image of a commander-in-chief who has led America astray.

The great issue of our time is, of course, the economy. And on the economy, President Obama has not merely been a failure; he’s been the most dramatic failure in American history. He inherited a terrible financial situation, thanks to both Democratic-led initiatives designed to incentivize financial institutions to take risks on bad borrowers, and Republican failures to stop them. But he proceeded to make the situation worse, not better, with endless bailouts, unending sale of debt to China, and a deficit situation that puts every child under the age of 18 in the country in over $200,000 of debt.

Forget his promises – halving the deficit, decreasing the unemployment rate to well below 6% by the end of his first term, and the rest of it – his performance has been abysmal.

Obama is the most profligate spender in history, racking up trillion-dollar deficits each year of his presidency – and America has received worse than nothing in return. When President Obama took office, the economy had 133.6 million jobs. Today, it has 133.8 million jobs. That doesn’t even keep pace with population growth. This is easily the worst recovery in American history. No wonder economists predict that with this growth rate, it will take a full decade before we reach normal unemployment rates. Meanwhile, Obama continues to inflate the currency at record levels. We are watching Jimmy Carter, Part Deux. Except worse.

His stimulus package, which clocked in at a whopping $800 billion, has achieved nothing. His vaunted GM bailout did nothing that traditional bankruptcy wouldn’t have done, except screw the senior debtholders in favor of the unions. And the American people are billions in hoc over that bailout. You can save any company if you pour enough taxpayer cash into it (except Solyndra). But you can’t save the economy.

And even as his economic policy collapsed, President Obama focused his laserlike attention elsewhere: on health care. The rationale was obvious: it was a sop to the major labor unions, who funded his campaign and are desperately seeking fertile new recruitment ground – ground they can only find in a massively expanding federal and state government. By essentially putting one-sixth of the US economy on the road to nationalization, Obama has condemned millions to restricted access to healthcare of their choice, raised costs, squeezed doctors out of the market, and destroyed the private relationship between patients and their physicians. And he did all of that without a single Republican vote."

    Good morning,

A lot of people continually ask, why do so many Jews vote Democratic.

The following article by Sheldon G. Adelson may help to explain why and also why more and more Jews are now leaving the Democratic party:

Sheldon G. Adelson: I Didn’t Leave the Democrats. They Left Me

A couple of comments after watching last night’s interview by Greta van Susteren of the Governor:

    – The Governor, while looking radiant and at peace, spoke with authority and conviction.

    – The background setting for the interview was perfect. All the right touches from the fire in the fireplace to the American flag.

    – Excellent interview. Her message was clear and succinct. Her quote from the scriptures was perfect.

    – As always, the Governor exemplifies the gold standard for political leadership.

Since people from the Romney campaign read the comments in this blog, some suggestions.

This is a base election. Every vote counts. You may want to ensure that:

    – The Governor’s most recent FB wall post is referenced by conservative and libertarian leaning websites and blogs throughout the country.

    – The video of this interview is posted to faith based websites and blogs throughout the country.

    – Those focused on the GOTV send out tweets (along with email blasts as appropriate) that contain a reference and link to the Governor’s most recent FB wall post, along with a link to the interview with Greta van Susteren as appropriate to the specific audience.

    Just some thoughts.

[These comments were originally posted in yesterday’s open thread.]

Earlier under the post with the interview, T5S7L commented:

On this election eve 2012, Gov. Palin used her appearance on Greta"s show to quote from Chronicles 7:14.

" If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land."

Another famous political figure used this exact quote in a public service announcement during the 1980’s.

    Ronald Reagan

In response to that comment, I wrote:

Smiling … after listening to her interview and hearing the Governor quote from Chronicles 7:14, the PDS crowd must be foaming at the mouth with incoherent rage.

She just called them, their anointed one, Hail Obama and the Democrats, wicked.

    Deservedly so, given that:

    -  Obama’s re-election bid has been endorsed and is fully supported by the Communist Party USA.

    - The Democratic party had removed any reference to G_D from their party platform and refused to recognize Jerusalem as the capital of Israel.

On the day that the President was to speak to the Convention, while a national TV audience was watching the convention, the appropriate language was hastily reinstated, but only after a heated floor debate in which it was obvious that the Chair ignored the wishes of the floor, who voted by more than fifty percent against, with the announcement that the motion was carried being met with outrage and boos.

[The last paragraph was edited slightly from the original comment.]

Is it any wonder that many in the Evangelical community were to put it mildly, alarmed, by what they witnessed?

Anyone with a sense of history should be alarmed by the initial decision to remove any reference to G_D from the Democratic party platform and the refusal to include the recognition of Jerusalem as the capital of Israel in the platform and the scene that took place at the Democratic National Convention when the motion was put to the floor to reinstate the reference and the recognition.

Students of history will have flashbacks. The overthrow of the Tsar in Russia. The murder of millions by Stalin. Mao’s rise to power in China. The murder of more millions. Oppression of Religion and Freedom. The Gulag in Siberia. The killing fields in Cambodia. Ronald Reagan’s Evil Empire Speech. Prison camps in China filled with political dissidents. Horrible conditions. Shootings of prisoners. Harvesting of organs from their bodies.

Just a few of the horrific scenes from Communism’s history that come to mind.

Now we are are fighting a long war against an anti-Semitic, anti-American Islamic supremacist ideology that was seeded by the Soviet Union.

The terror killing of innocents in the name of Allah.

The cries of death to the Jews and Christians curdle in the air.

War being declared against America by Al Qaeda on Clinton’s watch and by the Muslim Brotherhood on Obama’s watch.

Since Obama’s election, this ideology is sweeping through the Levant.

While Obama claims that with the death of Bin Laden, this ideology is on the run, in reality, largely due to the actions of this administration, we now face real threats to our vital national interests; threats which had largely been put to rest under the previous administration.

He leads an administration which is so blind to the real threat that our public servants can no longer use terms like Islam, Islamic, and Islamist in discussing the war the Islamists are waging on and in America.

Because of the ban, the military, the intelligence community, and other government organizations now must use the meaningless terms like “EVOs” — “Extremist Violent Organizations” when discussing how to insure America survives the current war.

He constantly lies to the American people when talking about the threats we are facing and the actions of his administration.

Who would have ever thought that we would see such behavior in our President?

America is country that was born in revolution, founded on a set of ideals based on concepts that invoke individual Freedom and a desire to continually perfect the Union, based on the ideals set forth in the Declaration of Independence, with the Constitution shining the way forward.

May today mark the beginning of our national restoration and the beginning of the end of our national nightmare.

May America remain the Land of the Free and the Home of the Brave.

Trusting the rest of your day is blessed.

P.S. I stand with Sarah Palin.

Excellent article about Gov.Palin’s record of accomplishments.

‘Who Is the Real Sarah Palin?’

    From the article:

    Executive Authority and Success

Palin was the first female and youngest governor to be elected in Alaska, which is tied for the second most powerful governorship in the United States, according to Thad Beyle, a political scientist at the University of North Carolina.

    Budgeting and Spending

Palin cut state spending between 2007 and 2010 by 9.5% while also reducing federal earmark requests by more than 80% during her tenure. She used her line-item veto to cut more than a quarter billion in superfluous spending in both 2007 and 2008. In 2009, she instituted a temporary hiring freeze, while at the same time reducing spending by more than 33% between FY2009 and FY2010.

In stark contrast to President Obama and other governors whose fiscal records are dogged by credit downgrades, Palin left Alaska with an improved credit rating during and following her tenure as governor.  Standard & Poor’s raised Alaska’s credit rating from AA to AA+ in April 2008. Then in 2010, both Moody’s and Standard & Poor’s upgraded Alaska to AAA for the first time in the state’s history due to policies enacted by Palin that made the state’s finances more than solvent.

Under Palin’s leadership, Alaska was 2nd in job growth, and 3rd in the change in its unemployment rate, compared to the other states. Alaska also saw a record number of oil jobs in both 2008 and 2009, while natural resource and logging jobs increased 13.7% during Palin’s tenure.

In fact, Palin’s record on jobs compared to the country as a whole was stronger than the President’s and other prominent governors’ during their respective tenures

    Business Growth

Alaska was an opportunity society under Palin. Alaska moved up from the 4th most business tax-friendly state to the 3rd most business tax-friendly state during her tenure.

Palin was a firm believer in tax cuts. In addition to lowering unemployment insurance tax rates, she cut business license fees in half, suspended the state motor fuel tax, and signed legislation, allowing Alaska-based businesses the same opportunities as out-of-state businesses. All of this was consistent with her record as Mayor of Wasilla, where she eliminated small business inventory taxes and cut property tax mill levies every year she was in office.

Energy issues are Palin’s forte, and her record proves it. In 2007, Governor Palin signed ACES—Alaska’s Clear and Equitable Share—a net tax on oil profits that was passed in a bipartisan and transparent manner. ACES replaced the corruption-tainted oil tax plan of the previous administration, which was passed in secret and ultimately lead to the federal indictment of several Alaskan state officials and oil company personnel. Furthermore, ACES provided oil companies with incentives to develop. The progressivity of the tax meant producers were protected when oil prices were low, but the interest of the resource owners—the people of Alaska—were appropriately protected as well to achieve a fair return for their resource.

Most importantly, ACES led to jobs, increased development, and a huge surplus for Alaska.

Perhaps Palin’s biggest energy achievement was spearheading the creation of the Alaska natural gas pipeline. After five decades of unsuccessful attempts by Alaskan administrations to bring a gas pipeline project into existence, Palin and her team introduced the Alaska Gasline Inducement Act (AGIA) in March 2007. AGIA passed the Legislature by a vote of 57-1 in May of that year.

Unlike the behind-closed-doors cronyism of past administrations, Palin’s AGIA legislation was conducted out in the open and made use of a genuine free-market competitive bidding process. Palin’s AGIA placed not only Alaska, but also the nation, further on the path toward energy independence.

Palin played hardball with the big oil companies in her state. According to the Alaska state constitution, Alaskans are the resource owners in their state; and it was Palin’s duty as their CEO to get the best deal for Alaskans while at the same time partnering with these oil companies for the mutual benefit of all.

    Ethics Reform and Transparency

Ethics reform was the hallmark of Palin’s governorship. She was swept into office on a reform message in a state with a serious corruption problem. Alaska at the time was undergoing a federal investigation that culminated in the indictment of various corrupt lawmakers. Palin had made a name for herself as an ethics crusader when she chaired the Alaska Oil and Gas Conservative Commission and blew the whistle on fellow commissioner and state GOP head Randy Ruedrich for doing party business on state time. This resulted in Ruedrich receiving a $12,000 fine—the largest civil fine for ethics in the state’s history. Alaskans respected the fact that Palin was not afraid of taking on the establishment of her own party.

As governor, Palin fought for and signed sweeping bipartisan ethics legislation, which restricted lobbyists, improved disclosure laws, and improved executive and legislative branch ethics laws. In the face of corruption, she continued to take on her own party when it was necessary. She also increased transparency by releasing her oil tax bill to her constituents 17 days prior to the special legislative session, opening up natural gas pipeline deals to all potential parties, putting the state checkbook online, and not allowing lobbyists in her office.

Palin forward funded education to allow districts greater flexibility, supported increased vocational training and early education funding, opened up opportunity to Alaskan students to participate in regional medical schools, and increased overall funding for special needs education by 175% (before she herself became the mother of son with special needs). Believing that the best reform was close to home, Palin wisely also chose to monitor rather than participate in national standards for education.

    Health Care

Palin introduced health care transparency legislation that established an Alaska health care information office to give consumers factual information on quality and cost to help them make better-informed health care decisions. Recognizing that health care must be market-and business-driven, rather than restricted by government, Palin proposed repeal of Certificate of Need—a layer of bureaucracy that prevents medical facility development. She established the Alaska Health Strategies Planning Council, reduced Medicaid assessments by 83%, and expanded Alaska’s SeniorCare benefits program for low-income seniors.

How the Palin emails backfired on the media.

‘Sarah Palin email witch hunt backfires – squeaky clean good governor!’

    From the article:

"The release of Sarah Palin’s emails backfires, as not only does she come off as squeaky clean, she looks like a very hard working governor by the looks of these communications. According to NPR, nothing of any concern was found among the thousands of Palin emails released."

‘American Way: Sarah Palin email frenzy backfires on her media antagonists’

    Form the article:

"The trove of more than 13,000 emails detailing almost every aspect of Sarah Palin’s governorship of Alaska, released late on Friday, paints a picture of her as an idealistic, conscientious, humorous and humane woman slightly bemused by the world of politics.

One can only assume that the Left-leaning editors who dispatched teams of reporters to remote Juneau, the Alaskan capital, to pore over the emails in the hope of digging up a scandal are now viewing the result as a rather poor return on their considerable investment.

If anything, Mrs Palin seems likely to emerge from the scrutiny of the 24,000 pages, contained in six boxes and weighing 275 pounds, with her reputation considerably enhanced. As a blogger at Powerline noted, the whole saga might come to be viewed as “an embarrassment for legacy media”.

‘Operation Backfire: E-Mails Prove Sarah Palin Was A Great Governor’

    From the article:

"Governor Palin conducted the business of her state in a transparent, bi-partisan, and responsible manner. She worked long, hard hours and treated everyone with respect. America is finding out that Palin is a smart, effective, fiscally responsible leader whose goal has always been to serve the people she represents.

She knows how to prioritize, delegate, and choose the most qualified and competent people to serve with her. America is learning that even in the face of death threats from crazed liberals, Gov. Palin just kept working and putting Alaska and Alaskans first."

‘The Sarah Palin email mania backfires on the media’

    From the article:

"As 13,000 emails of the former Governor of Alaska, Sarah Palin, were released on Friday, the Liberal main-stream media scurried down to Juneau, Alaska to collect 24,000 pages of what they thought could be a damning story.

Dozens of major news publications released the 24,000 pages online to find something to smear the possible 2012 Republican contender, but their search came out dry.

Instead, what they found was a hard-at-work governor leading the great state of Alaska.

In detail, the emails display her down-to-earth tenure as governor and the policies she put in place while serving the 49th state."

CNN finding that Palin was hard-working governor

Palin: the emails, the Paul Revere flap, and the foolish media

    From the article:

"Similarly, the mainstream media stands with egg dripping all over its face, yet again. Nothing in the emails contains the slightest hint that Palin was anything other than a hard-working Governor, a caring mother and wife, and an all-around good-natured human being…not exactly what the death squads of WaPo, the NYT, and other mainstream outlets had in mind.

This shockingly laughable scenario is in sharp contrast to the manner in which the media handled Barack Obama, whom it woefully failed to properly investigate in 2007-08. Where were all of the reporters who should have been camped outside the door of domestic terrorist William Ayers, who launched Obama’s political career from his living room?"

Rush on Palin’s emails: What a spectacular backfire!

    From the article:

"Rush started his show today noting what a spectacular backfire on the media it was that Sarah Palin withstood the media looking for dirt in every syllable of her 24,000 emails. He wonders who else could have withstood such an analysis.

Gov. Palin has been microscopically analyzed on an unprecedented level and she still comes up clean. I doubt anyone else could have withstood the intense scrutiny that she has undergone.

Politico: Emails Bolster the Message in ‘The Undefeated’  (June 11 2011)

      Form the article:

"It says something when even the Politico, not exactly known for their unbiased Palin coverage, is conceding that this surreal “colonoscopy” by the cartoonish mainstream media is backfiring.  And that’s exactly what it’s doing.  Much to the media’s chagrin, the emails show a serious and highly effective executive who was in full control of her administration. As Tim Crawford indicated yesterday, everyone should read the emails."

The Washington Post: Palin a “Definite Renegade” on Big Oil;Updated  ( June 12 2011)

        From the article:

"As the MSM and their readers continue to search through Governor Palin’s emails searching for non-existent bombshells, let me be one of the first to welcome the Washington Post to 2008.

As Ian mentioned earlier, the Washington Post recognized that Governor Palin’s emails showed that she budgeted frugally and was opposed to pork barrel spending. Now, the Washington Post recognizes that Governor Palin did not have a buddy-buddy relationship with Big Oil. Both of these supposedly new revelations are not new at all to Palin supporters who have followed her political rise after Senator McCain chose her as his VP nominee or even prior to that."

#Palinemails Show that the Center-Left Superintendent of the Anchorage School District Praised Palin for “Her Vision [and] Leadership”  (June 17 2011)

          From the article:

"If you don’t believe what we say about Governor Palin’s leadership, here’s what the center-left superintendent of the Anchorage School District said about Palin:

"Thank you so much for your vision, leadership, and support for our public schools this week. I cannot tell you how much all of us want to celebrate with you. The idea that we could actually plan ahead, really focus on student achievement, connecting with parents and families, and really digging into the serious issues of low graduation rates and high drop out rates excites me very much. We spend too much time trying to justify our collective needs, when we should be focused on teaching and learning.

You and your staff are to be commended for honoring the work of the Joint Funding Task Force and for honoring your commitments made during the election for early and forward funding."

So much for the ‘shoots wolves from helicopters’ myth (June 11, 2011)

            From the article:

"Some left wing bloggers may be starting to realize that the Palin emails they fought relentlessly to have released are not the silver bullets they had hoped for to use to destroy the object of their hatred. Information contained in the documents, in fact, provides contradictory evidence to one of the many myths they have perpetuated about Sarah Palin.

The emails shatter the mythological image of a bloodthirsty Sarah Palin, assault rifle in hand, maniacally pursing Alaskan wolves from the skid of a black helicopter, fiendishly laughing as she slaughters the poor creatures. Lefty bloggers have been pushing that one for years. But, according to the liberal Washington Post, the emails prove otherwise.

Another email demonstrates Gov. Palin’s opposition to hunting bears in the McNeil River Bear Sanctuary.

Governor Palin did indeed strongly support predator control, and she clearly favored paying hunters a bounty to keep the wolf population in check, but the image of her personally shooting the predators from aircraft has finally been shot down. The emails also show that her motivation for keeping the wolf population at manageable levels was her concern for the welfare of Alaska’s rural families who depend so heavily on caribou and moose, the wolves’ prey, for food and warm clothing."

By the way, predator control programs are established conservation programs which are also practiced in a number of states.

As Governor Palin has said many times, she advocates for an “all of the above”approach to energy independence which includes solar, wind, nuclear, and clean coal in addition to the more traditional oil, gas, and coal.

She supported development of renewable energy sources, developing a plan to have 50% of Alaska’s energy to be produced from renewable sources by the year 2025.

‘Palin unveils state energy goals; 2025 GOAL: At least 50 percent of state’s power to be from alternative sources.’    (January , 2009)

"Gov. Sarah Palin has crossed swords with conservation groups over petroleum drilling, but she earned nothing but praise Friday after announcing the most ambitious renewable energy goals in the nation. At a news conference announcing her statewide energy plan, Palin called for 50 percent of Alaska’s power to be generated by renewable resources by 2025."

‘Sarah Palin’s Goal Of 50% Renewable Energy Use In Alaska Signed Into Law’ (June , 2010)

    From the article:

"One of the first things Barack Obama did, once he took office, was to announce a pretty ambitious goal of having the United States get 25 percent of it’s energy from renewable sources by the year 2025. To date, little if anything, has been done by the Obama regime to reach this goal.

On January 21, 2009 (Obama’s first full day at work) Sarah Palin, writing in the Wall Street Journal, praised this initiative strongly, while reminding Obama that conventional sources of energy will always be needed. She also announced that she was working on the goal of having Alaska get a full 50 percent of it’s energy from renewables in that same 2025 time frame."

About the  frivolous anti-Palin ethics complaints
There were many "ethics" complaints filed against Gov Palin. All complaints ,but two ,dismissed as lacking any merit. The other two were settlements where Governor Palin was cleared of any wrongdoing.

Under Alaskan law these are dealt with by the Alaskan Personnel Board, which body gives a final determination.

The members of the Personnel Board were appointed by Palin’s predecessor, Frank Murkowski–no friend of Palin.

To cut a long story short Gov.Palin was exonerated from blame in all cases without exception.

The two settlements where Gov.Palin was also cleared of any wrongdoing:

    1)  Governor Palin Reimburses the State for Kids’ Travel

There was no state law against the governor’s family traveling with her, and the personnel board found no wrongdoing on the part of the Sarah Palin
Because no guidance was provided in the law, the Palin administration followed historical precedent in travel decisions for the first family.
All of her travel expenses were originally approved by the Department of Administration!

The administration had decided to have the Attorney General establish a clearer set of guidelines that established a new “state interest” test for protocol travel and based on this set of new (!) guidelines Sarah Palin agreed to reimburse the state.
Sarah Palin has been exonerated of all wrongdoing (also) in this ethics act complaint. There was no finding of wrongdoing and there was no ethics violation.
The Alaska Personnel Board found no wrongdoing, but Sarah Palin agreed to reimburse the state.

    2)  The Legal Defense Fund Case.

Associated Press: "No Wrongdoing on Palin’s Part was Found" in Legal Defense Fund Case

No wrongdoing on Palin’s part was found. Investigator Timothy Petumenos said Palin acted in good faith and relied on a team of attorneys.

The only thing the team of attorneys did wrong was use the word “official” while trying to help pay for all the legal costs involved with a merciless, politically motivated, litigious campaign from Democrat operatives against Sarah Palin.

In essence, the investigator found that because of things such as the use of the word "Official" on the fund’s website, there is probable cause to believe that the fund itself could be in violation of Alaska ethics laws. However,  Sarah palin  did not do anything wrong since she acted on good faith on the advice of a team of lawyers who told her the fund was "unassailable" and in compliance with the law when it was formed.!

Under Alaskan law Gov.Palin had to cover her own legal fees.

Answering those lawsuits took up almost 100% of her time and the time of her staff, meaning she couldn’t govern. Those lawsuits were filed  to make it impossible for her to govern and to bankrupt her .

Since then (2010) Alaskan law has been changed which now covers the governor’s legal fees for such legal proceedings. That didn’t help Gov. Palin as she still had to pay the fees she accrued during that time.
    About troopergate.

The  the Bi-partisan Alaska Personnel Board , which is the final authority(!), ruled that Gov.Palin did not commit any ethics violation

    Good Morning,

Yesterday our Govenor publicly shared the verse 2 Chronicles 7:14  on Greta’s show.    It reminded me of the time when during the closing days of the 08′ election she quietly asked supporters to pray through one of the Psalms.   I think it was Psalm 27.

The opening verse of that Psalm goes as follows.   "The Lord is my light and my salvation, whom shall I fear?  The Lord is the stronghold of my life of whom should I be afraid?"

There is a song that I think perfectlly fits that sentiment.  It is a song that was performed at a Passion conference.  (college age kids)    I know Palin has spoken at women’s conferences, this would be a wonderful conference for her to speak at.

Anyway, the song is "Shadows"   It reminds us when things are falling apart to look to the shadow of the cross to which to draw strength.   So even if Alinsssssssky, SSSSorrosss and Hussssien have a huge belly laugh tonight, there is a power that is even above them!!!

Believer/Follower of Christ,  Full Screen it!  and turn it up loud!!!!!

The reading of the Apostle Paul’s letter to the Ephesians.

God Bless!! Go out and Vote!!

"The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much."  Matthew 5:16

Dear Heavenly Father, we ask for your guidance, protection and strength today as we face one of the biggest challenges this nation has seen in a very long time.  We ask that you surround the perimeters of the United States border, every polling station, voting booth and ballot box, our conservative leaders, with the white light of your protection while we fight in your name to bring restoration back to our country.  Help us to be humble and to remember how we got here and to not repeat it.  We ask this in your name, Amen.
