Palin Cites Economist Thomas Sowell’s "Fiscal Cliff" Analyses; Praise for SC’s Scott and DeMint

Former Governor Palin is encouraging everyone to read respected economist Thomas Sowell’s analyses on the "fiscal cliff", here and here.

She is also pleased with the prospect of South Carolina Governor Nikki Haley possibly appointing 1st District Rep. Tim Scott, a candidate supported by Tea Party groups around the country, to replace Sen. Jim DeMint in the Senate. DeMint resigned earlier today and accepted an offer to lead one of President Ronald Reagan’s favorite policy think tanks, the respected The Heritage Foundation.

Finally, the Governor praised Sen. DeMint’s leadership in the past and is hopeful for his new role at The Heritage Foundation.

I clearly remember just a few months ago when Sarah campaigned with Sen. Demint for Ted Cruz. I hope they had a chance to talk during that time.

Gradually Sarah Palin is amassing an army of reformers in the beltway.

I caught that Thomas Sowell piece this morning, its good to see that Sarah recommended it. I wish Sarah would write an Op-ed, there is so much going on that needs to be exposed and Sarahs high Profile brings attention to various topics.

How do I report a troll?

it would also revive some much needed hope for many people who are having a difficult time financially, emotionally and with health issues.  And keep praying.

    Thank you, Jasmine

I remember that the Governor, in addition to Col. Allen West, mentioned Professor Sowell as a possible VP choice during an interview earlier this year.

obama and his thugs are celebrating right now, and are trying to grind their Marxist boots into the face of America.

Meanwhile, the "cavalry" that will rescue our land is quietly being gathered … and the Great Captain, Sarah of Alaska, will lead us!!

    God bless.

Brianus … Just for the record …

Sarah mentioned Allen West as a possible VP pick for Romney when asked a direct question.

However, she said she "preferred someone not in politics, such as Thomas Sowell."

The key word there is "preferred." As someone who is prepared to "go rogue," as she has already proved, she understands how difficult it is going to be to get someone from either side of the Government Party to run against the establishment.

It appears that Sarah Steelman might be willing to do so at this point. Mr. West, after having his ass kicked by the Republicans, might also be willing to do so. However, Mr. West voting with the establishment 70% of the time, just says that he is playing a political "shell game."

It is too bad that so many people are taken in by the rhetoric of Mr. West. He sure "talks the talk," but he never, never "walked the walk."

Let’s get someone to run with Mrs. Palin who is really a constitutional conservative. Not just someone who gives lip service and then votes differently.

        Thanks!

Thomas Sowell will be 84 in 2016

        • goldenprez

           Freempg … No kiddin’?

In another post on this subject, days ago, I wrote that Thomas Sowell was "ninety-leventy years old, but I would still take him over Allen West."

          What’s your point?

Of course, Thomas Sowell is right, however, for Obama and his left-wings thugs this isn’t about the economy -it’s all about gaining power!

By the way, this is also true for Boehner and his elite thugs by simply shifting the blame to Obama -watch this clown cave shortly before Chrismas!!

    • socon

It’s all about power.  With power comes money.

        So true.

Wisdom is the most important commodity that one can possess.  Unfortunately, our socialist educational system, has seen fit to deny the reality of wisdom, to our children for several decades now.  Several generations have passed through the educational system since Dr. Sowell received his education and degrees in economics.  His simple explanation of the effects of inflation, are no longer understood by the current society that we live within.  One wonders if this and future generations, will ever come to the realization that they were deliberately cheated while passing through this educational system?

  • StandProudNow

I have a lot of respect for Mr. Sowell.

I trust he will have a key position in President Palin’s cabinet, if not serving as Vice President.

The future looks BRIGHT and ROSY!!!!!   (Not the immediate future, but the cr#p we have to endure will ASSURE our rosy future!!
