Governor Palin: D.C.: Cut the Drama. Do Your Job.

Governor Palin just wrote the following via Facebook:

D.C.: Cut the Drama. Do Your Job.

Americans are sick and tired of yet another ginned-up crisis. D.C. needs to grow up, get to work, and live within its means. The real economic Armageddon looming before us is our runaway debt, not the sequester, which the President advocated for and signed into law and is now running around denouncing because he never had any genuine intention of reining in his reckless spending.

Remember that this sequestration deal came about because of the long debt ceiling standoff in the summer of 2011. It wasn’t the ideal outcome for anyone, but it did at least include real deficit reduction of about $110 billion per year for 10 years, which is still nowhere near enough to close our massive deficit. Keep in mind that since the sequester passed, the President has already hit American families and small business owners with his tax increases, or “more revenue” as he likes to call it. The American public doesn’t want tax increases; we want government to rein in its overspending.

If we can’t stomach modest cuts that would lower federal spending by a mere 0.3% per year out of a current federal budget of $3.6 trillion, then we might as well signal to the whole world that we have no serious intention of dealing with our debt problem.

If we are going to wet our proverbial pants over 0.3% in annual spending cuts when we’re running up trillion dollar annual deficits, then we’re done. Put a fork in us. We’re finished. We’re going to default eventually and that’s why the feds are stockpiling bullets in case of civil unrest.

If we ARE serious about putting our fiscal house in order, then let’s stop the hysterics, tighten our belts, and take our medicine.

– Sarah Palin

This goes hand-in-hand with the tweet she sent out a couple hours earlier:

  • RightMom

Addressing the Billions of rounds purchased by DHS is huge. They either have to tell a transparent lie, or they have to tell the truth. Either way they are exposed. This could be the turning point. She is truly courageous.

    • PhilTan

Great point. Why are they doing that. Sarah may have just brought it to the frontpage.

    • vivivava818

This could be the turning point, indeed, Steve. It’s huge and scary that she said it out-loud. Fearless lady. I keep learning from her to get out of my cowardliness and start fighting…LIKE A GIRL!!!

  • patnatasha

is her facebook post posted anywhere is besides rightscoop? because if it’s not it needs to go viral asap.

I really wish Palin would stop sugar coating her comments. s/

    • suedixon

she’s not sugar coating anything. she’s speaks the truth. something both parties refuse to hear. it’s up to us, the voters to let our elected leaders they work for us not the other way around. don’t know about you, but I’m not a subject or pawn to anyone including the muslim in the oval office who wishes he was an emperor, but he has lost his clothing and is now naked.

      • MaMcGriz

Did you miss the sarc tag? lol

        • suedixon

no, i didn’t miss it. :-). am just so frustrated with the bureaucrats that i just write what i’m thinking at the moment. sorry if i offended you.

  • suedixon

i pray she runs for president in 2016. she will set things right and tell all the rinos and liberals do your job or be ousted. time for some impeachment to take place on both sides of the aisle. if hillary decides to run all one has to do is play her saying "what difference does it make" on the killing of our ambassador and three other americans.

  • BostonBruin

At some point the time will be right for her to reveal Obama’s true intentions. Specifically, that he may be planning to pay-off the debt by confiscating the trillions of dollars in American’s retirement accounts.

    • SusanWo4p

      Wow…how could he do that?

      • conservativemama

Levin has talked about this. There is some woman in Obama’s orbit who’s proposed this idea, of nationalizing 401ks, something like that.

Nothing is beyond the pale with Obama, especially when he grows government beyond any ability we have to pay for it. He’s very 3rd world. We are experiencing a government created bad economy. No different than what underdeveloped countries have been through many times.

There is no entity greedier than government, none. It is to be feared.

      • BostonBruin

There has been some talk about it over the last few years and it seems to be real – not just some wild conspiracy theory. Apparently it was done in Argentina.

    • Gpoupa

Wouldn’t fly, it would violate ex post facto laws.

      • c4pfan

        OH, yes it would!

      • MaMcGriz

Since when has obama upheld the rule of law if it stood between him and what he wants?

    • Norcalo

IMHO we have long passed the point where the only solution is massive inflation.I certainly would come out ahead, as my family has less saved up than our share of the debt. But the cost in chaos is hard to reckon.

    • c4pfan

      Oh, that’s coming for sure.

  • Emily Baxter

DC better get their act together or my debt to the government will be BIGGER! :(

    • lanahi

Hope they don’t call our loans!

    • c4pfan

Your debt? We won’t be able to pay for anything let alone the debt. Like Sarah said, what he’s talking about is coming, IF we don’t cut now!

  • PAWatcher

Sarah speaks for US, We are sick and tired of the DC dog and pony shows! Time for a budget and a big machete to slash it to bare bones, this sequester is like a grain of sand in the Grand Canyon.
Get government out of business, healthcare, energy, schools/colleges, TV/Radio/Internet, environment, tax collection and our personal lives.

The sequester is a tiny baby step, hope the fools in DC are sober enough to take it.

  • Spartan4Palin

Governor, I contend they have been wee-wee’d up since 2009!

And like alpha dogs, they have all been going around pissing on everything trying to mark territories all over DC!

No wonder the place reeks to high heaven!

    • palinsupporter1

      link didn’t work

    • Norcalo

They are beta dogs at best.

  • conservativemama

There is simply no one else on the natonal stage who speaks as clearly and honestly as this woman. Every time I hear Hannity or some other commentator lament the lack of an effective spokesperson for the conservative cause I just shake my head and think you idiots, we have that person and you let the Left tell you that she’s an irrelevant airhead.

    • GatorNavy

Exactamundo!!! I am on pins and needles waiting for her CPAC speech. She will get people using their heads for something besides a place to put their hats. Of course some will have to pull their heads out into the light first.

  • Gpoupa

You can almost hear the anger in her voice.

    • vivivava818

Heck! I’m angry too…or to put it in Breitbart’s words "righteously indignant".

  • joseph agibinik

Thank-you Sarah! I love your courage to take on the dems and rino reps! Sarah Palin 2016!

  • onparade

washington d c is bad even the birds fly over it upside down…..

  • Ceejay

DC does not listen, it does not hurt their wallets, as they can even richer when they pay their cronies off. We the people need to rise up, because we are sick of high gas prices, no Keystone pipeline, and less money to carry home the end of the week, those who are fortunate enough to have jobs. Bring it Sarah!

  • Ceejay

Why do I think at CPAC the RINO speakers will suddenly have a full agenda…. because they know who speaks the truth….Bring it Sarah!

  • Ceejay

Okay, who were the 4 RINO’s that voted for Hagel’s confirmation?

    • patnatasha

ayotte hatch and i cant remember the others.

      • Ceejay

Geez, Sarah stood by both, Mama Grizzly not to happy about now.

      • excopconservative

Not Ayotte and Hatch. Mike Johanns, Thad Cochran and Rand Paul were three that voted for Hagel.

        • 01_Explorer_01

          Rand Paul?

          • MaMcGriz

            Friend of Israel??
            Uh huh. Sure.

    • PhilTan

Levin just outlined the whole Hagel thing. There was an earlier vote that occured in which only 27 Republicans voted. This was important because it would have prevented a full vote by the Senate which all the dems would have voted for the nomination. I’m not sure if this was for a fillibuster or not. By abstaining from the first vote and voting in the second, either way, you essentially voted for the nomination. McCain, Lindsay Graham and several others abstained from the first. Look for the 27 who voted in that earlier vote. The ones who didnt were/are the problem.

  • excopconservative

She has just set forth an agenda that neither party can support without taking responsibility for the inexcusable irresponsibility. It is an agenda best suited for a new party. It’s a common sense TEA Party message that both parties oppose.

The Republicans could still salvage themselves but it would require them to adopt this agenda now and accept the leadership of a commonsense conservative from Alaska to save their butts. They won’t. There’s no money in doing the right thing.

  • Norcalo

Down with both major parties. They’re beyond repair. Pfffibbbbittth !!! ™

  • Norcalo

Some of the DHS ammo is hollow point. Why?
