Governor Palin: God Bless This Great Warrior

Via Facebook:

Todd and I are in Dallas today to attend Chris Kyle’s memorial and funeral service. I find it sad to see that flags aren’t flying at half staff for this American hero. We’re surrounded today by American patriots here in Texas – by Chris’ fellow veterans and active duty warriors. In honor of them, I hope our commander in chief pays his respects in some gesture of condolence for their comrade in arms who sacrificed so much to keep him and all of us safe.

We may never know to what extent Chris kept us free or how many lives he saved by his brave actions in the line of fire. But his fellow warriors know how important he was. My son Track couldn’t meet Chris when Todd and I first met him because Track was deployed to Iraq. Then when we got to know Chris even better, our son was deployed in Afghanistan. We’ve met a lot of people in recent years, and Track has been privileged to meet them as well. But he said about Chris, “Mom, he’s the ONE person in the entire world I would be star-struck to meet. He’s it.”

God bless this great warrior. Let us keep his wife and children in our prayers, and may we never forget him or his sacrifice.

- Sarah Palin

Thanks, Sarah and Todd for coming to honor this American hero. You’re so right about the American flag – my dad and I wondered the same thing.

    • DocBarry1

I can’t believe obama can be so clueless- I hope for more but continue to be disappointed in him – he is supposed to be the president of all of us – yet he is so selective in what he does – he is a disaster

      • jester2939

Yep, the Commander in Chief is awol on this.

        • myfairlady

Uh, I guess it’s above his pay grade. . . . hahaha!  He doesn’t understand decorum nor does he have a natural respect for our military.

          • BlueGood

Selfless Sarah attend s a National Hero’s Memorial on her Birthday!

Happy Birthday Sarah, from your #1 Political Canadian Fan!

what a joke the dufus is.

          • jester2939

Yes, and it isn’t even a funny one.

        • DocBarry1

          Very Sad

      • Budvarakbar

Everything being done by this administration is thoroughly calculated and done for specific reasons — imho – in this instance >> two messages are being sent one to the Moslim BH — don’t dispair – keep pressing on — the US will no longer officially honor it’s heros that have been fighting islam  >>>> and one to the US military: Hello boys why fight ? – your country doesn’t care — OR care about YOU

Tokyo Rose and Axis Sally rolled into one and acting with impunity from within the US gov’t — –

By the way — any updates on the whereabouts and activities of the iranian moles — Valerie and Humma?

And all we have going up against this marxist/islamist onslaught is McLame, Gramnisty and the cry-baby

        • DocBarry1

It continues to be very sad

Thank you Gov. Palin & Todd – am so glad you both will be there today.  I agree with you about the flags – my husband and I really thought they would be at half staff at least here in Texas.  We wanted to be at the service today, but couldn’t get off work.  Obama will be awol on this because he has no love of our military or our country.  May God bless Chris Kyle’s family and give them the strength they will need in their time of loss.

  • Ceejay

The Governor and Todd could have been anywhere else, and this is Gov. Palin’s birthday, no she is a true patriot and someday our leader, because so called leader is AWOL on alot of things.

God Bless the Kyle family, protect the wife and children.

Thank you Governor for being the true patriot that you are………….now  lower those flags!!

CNN’s Political Ticker: – Sarah Palin said she hopes President Barack Obama "pays his respects" to the slain former Navy SEAL Chris Kyle, who was killed at a shooting range by a fellow veteran on February 2.In Dallas for the funeral, the former Alaska governor said she and her husband "find it sad to see that flags aren’t flying at half staff for this American hero."
"We’re surrounded today by American patriots here in Texas – by Chris’ fellow veterans and active duty warriors," she wrote on Facebook Monday morning. "In honor of them, I hope our commander in chief pays his respects in some gesture of condolence for their comrade in arms who sacrificed so much to keep him and all of us safe."
Kyle, who was 38, served four combat tours in Iraq and received two Silver Stars, among other commendations. He left the Navy in 2009. He was most known for declaring himself the "most lethal sniper in U.S. history" with more than 150 sniper killings in Iraq, which he described as a record for any American.
"We may never know to what extent Chris kept us free or how many lives he saved by his brave actions in the line of fire. But his fellow warriors know how important he was," Palin wrote.
Shortly after his death, Palin wrote on Facebook that she had lost a friend. She explained that she and her husband, Todd, first met Kyle in Pella, Iowa, when he helped out with security for the premiere of "The Undefeated," a documentary about Palin that debuted in June 2011.
"Later we became friends with Chris when he was on ‘Stars Earn Stripes’ with Todd," she said, referring to the NBC reality show in which competitors took on missions based on military exercises.
"Chris was a wonderful man, a good friend, and a true American hero who loved our country and served honorably," she continued. "He was loved and admired by so many, and he will never be forgotten."

Thank you Gov. Palin for once again showing us how a real leader conducts herself.

Happy Birthday to you.  Enjoy the celebration of another year lived, with the hope of many more to come.

    RIP Chris Kyle.

Thank you for serving this country and going above and beyond what anyone could have asked for. I know you will be missed, but never forgotten.

Thank you Sarah and it’s good to know Todd got to attend.

  • blkbear1

May Chris Kyle rest in peace. He was an American Hero! And Sarah, thanks to your son for his service to our country. I would like to add that Obama is a disgrace to the U.S. Military!

    • Budvarakbar

He is a disgrace to the whole country!

  • happymullah

This FB post once again shows where Sarah’s heart is.  Her love and respect for our military, past and present, is ingrained in her character.

She and Todd are not just grieving for the loss of a friend but also for an American hero prematurely taken away for us.
I, too, am mourning for our nation’s loss.

    I’ll ALWAYS remember Chris Kyle.

  • Steve_Flesher

Andrew McLaren who starred with Todd on Stars Earn Stripes put out a message at the President.  He was disgusted that Obama would send out respects to Michael Jackson and Whitney Houston but nothing for a Chis Kyle.  Since he’s a Democrat, I reminded him that Governor Palin sent out respects right away.  He said he was aware of it.

    • AmazedOne1

      Thanks for that update, Steve.

    • jester2939

      Good for Andrew.
