    Happy Birthday!

    If you can’t give to or buy a ticket from for the gala Sarah will be giving a speech at, you can also give her a birthday shout out by signing the petition for or help them reach their 300,000 signatures (they are so close to 200,000).

    Let’s give Sarah a great birthday.  We know from Bristol’s show that Sarah really doesn’t like celebrating it. ;)

    (prayer Psalm for our beloved Sarah; when reading OK to replace me/my with SP)

    PSALM 139

    For the Chief Musician. A Psalm of David.

    O Lord, You have searched me and known me.
    You know my sitting down and my rising up;
    You understand my thought afar off.
    You comprehend my path and my lying down,

    And are acquainted with all my ways.
    For there is not a word on my tongue,
    But behold, O Lord, You know it altogether.
    You have hedged me behind and before,
    And laid Your hand upon me.
    Such knowledge is too wonderful for me;
    It is high, I cannot attain it.

    Where can I go from Your Spirit?
    Or where can I flee from Your presence?
    If I ascend into heaven, You are there;
    If I make my bed in hell, behold, You are there.
    If I take the wings of the morning,
    And dwell in the uttermost parts of the sea,
    Even there Your hand shall lead me,
    And Your right hand shall hold me.

    If I say, “Surely the darkness shall fall on me,”
    Even the night shall be light about me;
    Indeed, the darkness shall not hide from You,
    But the night shines as the day;
    The darkness and the light are both alike to You.

    For You formed my inward parts;
    You covered me in my mother’s womb.
    I will praise You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made;
    Marvelous are Your works,
    And that my soul knows very well.

    My frame was not hidden from You,
    When I was made in secret,
    And skillfully wrought in the lowest parts of the earth.
    Your eyes saw my substance, being yet unformed.
    And in Your book they all were written,
    The days fashioned for me,
    When as yet there were none of them.

    How precious also are Your thoughts to me, O God!
    How great is the sum of them!
    If I should count them, they would be more in number than the sand;
    When I awake, I am still with You.

    Oh, that You would slay the wicked, O God!
    Depart from me, therefore, you bloodthirsty men.
    For they speak against You wickedly;
    Your enemies take Your name in vain.
    Do I not hate them, O Lord, who hate You?
    And do I not loathe those who rise up against You?
    I hate them with perfect hatred;
    I count them my enemies.

    Search me, O God, and know my heart;
    Try me, and know my anxieties;
    And see if there is any wicked way in me,
    And lead me in the way everlasting.

    Good Morning Barbarians, …from beautiful Carlsbad CA…..TODAY IS MY BIRTHDAY…..*_*

     It was four years ago, maybe 2 days before our birthday, I e-mailed Governor Palin at her office to
    wish her a Happy Birthday and to mention that I turned 18 the day she was born (you guys can do the math.)
    This e-mail that I sent to the Governor was only my 2nd e-mail I had ever sent to anyone.  I did receive a thank you reply and Happy Birthday wishes from the Governor’s office, … but being a NOVIS at this Computer thingy, at the time, I never kept my e-mail or the Governor’s response. (IDIOT) … So now my e-mails are just two of the forty thousand e-mails that the press went through….I Sure Hope They Liked Them!!! …..LOL!

    It was a few days later I found C4P and I read an article written by RAM about BARBARIANS and the rest is history.

    Just a few other people born on Feb. 11……. Thomas Edison (Electric light)…. Max Baer Prizefighter … Boris Pasternik Author (Dr. Zhivago) … Sidney Sheldon Author sooo many books… Burt Reynolds Actor … Sergio Mendes “The look of Love”…. and Robin my Sister in-law.

    My Dear Friends in Sarah,

    Happy Birthday to our dear Governor, and Monday greetings to you all!!

    And Happy Birthday to our friend Indemind!!

    In honor of this beautiful day, I offer two items this morning.

    First there comes a birthday greeting and expression of gratitude that I posted both in 2011 and last year, 2012.

    Then, since we are marking the first anniversary of her magnificent CPAC speech in Washington, DC, I present again highlights from the oration that I gave last year.

    God bless you all always!

    DEO VOLENTE, SARAH 2016!!!!!

    IN GRATITUDE TO AMERICA’S GOVERNOR, FROM 2011 AND 2012 (with a bit of editing)

    Dear Sarah,

    Happy, Happy Birthday!! We hope you enjoy a wonderful day of celebration with your family.

    How can we make adequate return, how can we thank you for all that you have done and suffered for our country, especially since the Year of Grace and of Fate, 2008?

    We cannot.

    Nevertheless, please accept this small tribute of esteem and affection that, I think, expresses at least a little of what all of us at C4P feel for you.

    We stand by your side, in prayer, in thoughts, in vigorous acts in this war in which we are engaged for the salvation of our country.

    Thank you, then, for so many things you have done and suffered for your God, for your family, for your Alaska, for your country:

    Thank you for bringing little Trig into this world in April of that momentous year of 2008.

    Thank you for giving your eldest son, Track, to the service of your country.

    Thank you for stalwartly supporting, and inspiring, our military.

    Thank you for accepting Senator McCain’s call to national service on 29 August of the same year of 2008 in Dayton, Ohio—Sarah Palin Day.

    Thank you for not succumbing to the ferocious whirlwind of brutal and merciless attacks to which the unlovely Left subjected you in the hours and days right after Dayton.

    Thank you for venturing out, a few days later, all alone into the veritable cauldron and amphitheater of the Republican National Convention as you prepared to deliver your Vice-Presidential acceptance speech.

    Thank you for making that evening of 3 September at the RNC radiate like a star, a North Star of Hope, for all Americans of good will.

    Thank you for not being daunted nor dismayed by the failure (sabotage?) of your teleprompter that night.

    Thank you for your deathless “lipstick” remark.

    Thank you for the whole of your magnificent, unforgettable oration, as you accepted the Republican Party’s nomination for Vice President, and summoned us to battle against the “messiah” of the Left.

    Thank you for your fearless, tireless, devoted campaigning up and down and east and west across our land that autumn.

    Thank you for your unflinching denunciation of barack obama’s radical allies and associates, especially bill ayres.

    Thank you for the joy, hope, courage, brightness, light that you brought to thousands upon thousands of ordinary Americans on the campaign trail.

    Thank you for taking the time to greet your people, to listen to them, to sign autographs for them along that same dusty, exhausting trail and time of battle.

    Thank you for never giving up on the hope that obama could be defeated, even as the campaign faded into its last seemingly hopeless days and hours.

    Thank you for the grace and eloquence of your heartrending silence on the doleful night of the national disaster of 4 November, 2008—the McCain campaign would not allow you to speak at the Senator’s concession speech, but your eyes spoke to us that evening with greater poignancy and power than any words coming from your lips could have.

    Thank you for not slinking away in despondency and defeat after 2008, for not vanishing forever from our sight and from our hearts.

    Thank you for regathering your interior forces and strength, and coming back more puissant and powerful than ever in 2009, to the delight of those who love and support you, and to the dismay of your foul enemies, who thought they had buried you forever.

    Thank you for your courage, foresight, and imagination in taking the road “less traveled” as you resigned the job and vocation you loved, the Governorship of Alaska, in order to fight for America in a broader arena of conflict and combat.

    Thank you for the Going Rogue book tour of the late autumn/early winter of 2009.

    Thank you for facing, during that same book tour, so many perils, perils of ice and snow, perils of swine flu, perils of exhaustion, as you patiently and lovingly greeted your people throughout this land of ours, spoke to them, signed their books—you undoubtedly left behind you a lifetime of grateful memories and reminiscences for so many people, especially for the young people who were privileged to meet the lovely Lady of the North Country.

    Thank you for all you did in 2010, through Facebook“missiles,” through television appearances, through vigorous, fearless campaigning, to encourage the Tea-Party movement, and to help bring about the great election victory of last (Edit: That is, 2010) November—a victory for which you have received almost no gratitude from a stolid and ungrateful and graceless GOP establishment.

    Thank you for calling in to the two C4P meet-ups of 2010, July in San Diego and November in Chicago.

    Thank you for making and giving to us the beautiful, informative, and inspiring television series “Sarah Palin’s Alaska.”

    Thank you for your wonderful second book, America by Heart, and for the second book tour.

    Thank you for giving the full measure and meed of your heart, of your devotion, of your all, to all of us, to all of America.

    Thank you for being Sarah, for being our Sarah, for being America’s Sarah.

    Thank you for…you!!!

    God bless you and yours always!!!

    SARAH 2016, DEO VOLENTE!!!!!!

    She cites Reagan’s "bold colors" in defining the issues at stake in America!!

    She cites the Bold Banner of the Gadsden Flag, "Don’t Tread on Me."

    The Tea Party Rose up because America Woke up.

    We are Red, White, and Blue, and, obama, we are through with you!!

    Oh yes we do, oh YES WE CAN, re changing the direction of the country–with a direct shot at obama.

    Re "hope and change": You gotta hope things change!!

    Sarah leads "USA, USA, USA" chants when heckler(s) tried to disrupt her.

    You cut it, you gut it, you get rid of it, re the debt.

    She came out with her great WTF again–Win The Future???…WTF!!!

    To obama: you keep your change; we’ll keep our God, our Guns, our Constitution!!

    The #1 duty of the Commander-in-Chief is protecting the American People.

    Re the world situation: We do not need international community organizing.

    We refuse to accept that a weaker America means a better and safer world.

    WE MUST BE THE HOME OF THE BRAVE (and, my remark, SARAH is certainly a shining and luminous example of this!!)

    obama doesn’t get out much to see the real America …but in eleven months he’ll be able to leave DC …permanently (Edit, 2013: The Lord, for His own reasons, permitted obama’s "reelection.")!!

    Re DC/government jobs/workers: They don’t manufacture; they don’t drill; they don’t harvest; they don’t CREATE wealth, they TAKE it!!

    Re DC: This is the playground for the GOVERNMENT RICH (Edit, 2013: See how she anticipates the theme of the recent Peter Schweizer/Steve Bannon special with Sean Hannity "BoomTown"!!)!!

    Re the dictatorial EPA: Maybe instead of calling DC a "swamp" we should call it a "wetland"–that’ll slow government growth!!

    She denounces yet again Crony Capitalism: It’s not the capitalism of free men and free markets; it’s the CAPITALISM OF CONNECTIONS!!

    Re OWS protestors: They are occupying the wrong thing.

    Newly-elected men and women come to DC and get pulled into corruption: They find that it’s not a cesspool, it’s a hot tub!!

    She recalls the historic election victories in 2010; the Tea Party is alive and well.

    When a ship is going down, the last thing you need is a community organizer singing "Let’s Stay Together."

    She denounces the GRAFT, the CRONYISM, the QUID PRO QUO of Chicago politics, and contrasts herself starkly and strikingly with obama: He used Chicago tactics and corruption to advance himself; Sarah fought against this type of corruption in Alaska.

    obama will try to reinvent himself for the campaign: "Carhartts and steel-toed boots are we."

    WE DON’T KNOW WHO OUR NOMINEE WILL BE!! (Edit, 2013: Sadly it turned out to be someone who managed to lose to obama.)

    And she says the DOOR IS STILL OPEN (Edit, 2013: And she said that the DOOR IS OPEN a little while ago, at the time she left FOX News!!)!!!

    We need someone who is ready, strong, fortified, passionate: A fighter for American ideals. (My observation: IMHO, guys, she was describing HERSELF, and only HERSELF!!!)

    Re American principles and ideals: That is America; that is Freedom; this is why we are Exceptional!!!

    IMV, this was one of the FINEST HOURS of a glorious patriot who has known many fine hours.

    IMV, this was THE PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES WHO SPOKE TODAY (Edit, 2013: That is, one year ago today)!!!

      BB – What a list of Thank You’s for Sarah on her birthday. I join with you on each one knowing that I could never express them as well as you. Bill Kristol was like the first national guy to focus on Sarah but not in 2004, more like late 2007. But he is of weak character easily manipulated by the GOPE so he has since gone against his own best judgment and has thrown her under the bus. As a result, he has little if any credibility left as far as I am concerned.

      • BrianusBerkleianus

    Happy Birthday, Gov.Palin!

  • ZH100

    Good morning all

    Excellent article about Gov.Palin’s record of accomplishments.

    ‘Who Is the Real Sarah Palin?’

    From the article:

    Executive Authority and Success

    Palin was the first female and youngest governor to be elected in Alaska, which is tied for the second most powerful governorship in the United States, according to Thad Beyle, a political scientist at the University of North Carolina.

    Budgeting and Spending

    Palin cut state spending between 2007 and 2010 by 9.5% while also reducing federal earmark requests by more than 80% during her tenure. She used her line-item veto to cut more than a quarter billion in superfluous spending in both 2007 and 2008. In 2009, she instituted a temporary hiring freeze, while at the same time reducing spending by more than 33% between FY2009 and FY2010.

    In stark contrast to President Obama and other governors whose fiscal records are dogged by credit downgrades, Palin left Alaska with an improved credit rating during and following her tenure as governor.  Standard & Poor’s raised Alaska’s credit rating from AA to AA+ in April 2008. Then in 2010, both Moody’s and Standard & Poor’s upgraded Alaska to AAA for the first time in the state’s history due to policies enacted by Palin that made the state’s finances more than solvent.

    Under Palin’s leadership, Alaska was 2nd in job growth, and 3rd in the change in its unemployment rate, compared to the other states. Alaska also saw a record number of oil jobs in both 2008 and 2009, while natural resource and logging jobs increased 13.7% during Palin’s tenure.

    In fact, Palin’s record on jobs compared to the country as a whole was stronger than the President’s and other prominent governors’ during their respective tenures

    Business Growth

    Alaska was an opportunity society under Palin. Alaska moved up from the 4th most business tax-friendly state to the 3rd most business tax-friendly state during her tenure.

    Palin was a firm believer in tax cuts. In addition to lowering unemployment insurance tax rates, she cut business license fees in half, suspended the state motor fuel tax, and signed legislation, allowing Alaska-based businesses the same opportunities as out-of-state businesses. All of this was consistent with her record as Mayor of Wasilla, where she eliminated small business inventory taxes and cut property tax mill levies every year she was in office.

    Energy issubeteutiful photoses are Palin’s forte, and her record proves it. In 2007, Governor Palin signed ACES—Alaska’s Clear and Equitable Share—a net tax on oil profits that was passed in a bipartisan and transparent manner. ACES replaced the corruption-tainted oil tax plan of the previous administration, which was passed in secret and ultimately lead to the federal indictment of several Alaskan state officials and oil company personnel. Furthermore, ACES provided oil companies with incentives to develop. The progressivity of the tax meant producers were protected when oil prices were low, but the interest of the resource owners—the people of Alaska—were appropriately protected as well to achieve a fair return for their resource.

    Most importantly, ACES led to jobs, increased development, and a huge surplus for Alaska.

    Perhaps Palin’s biggest energy achievement was spearheading the creation of the Alaska natural gas pipeline. After five decades of unsuccessful attempts by Alaskan administrations to bring a gas pipeline project into existence, Palin and her team introduced the Alaska Gasline Inducement Act (AGIA) in March 2007. AGIA passed the Legislature by a vote of 57-1 in May of that year.

    Unlike the behind-closed-doors cronyism of past administrations, Palin’s AGIA legislation was conducted out in the open and made use of a genuine free-market competitive bidding process. Palin’s AGIA placed not only Alaska, but also the nation, further on the path toward energy independence.

    Palin played hardball with the big oil companies in her state. According to the Alaska state constitution, Alaskans are the resource owners in their state; and it was Palin’s duty as their CEO to get the best deal for Alaskans while at the same time partnering with these oil companies for the mutual benefit of all.

    Ethics Reform and Transparency

    Ethics reform was the hallmark of Palin’s governorship. She was swept into office on a reform message in a state with a serious corruption problem. Alaska at the time was undergoing a federal investigation that culminated in the indictment of various corrupt lawmakers. Palin had made a name for herself as an ethics crusader when she chaired the Alaska Oil and Gas Conservative Commission and blew the whistle on fellow commissioner and state GOP head Randy Ruedrich for doing party business on state time. This resulted in Ruedrich receiving a $12,000 fine—the largest civil fine for ethics in the state’s history. Alaskans respected the fact that Palin was not afraid of taking on the establishment of her own party.

    As governor, Palin fought for and signed sweeping bipartisan ethics legislation, which restricted lobbyists, improved disclosure laws, and improved executive and legislative branch ethics laws. In the face of corruption, she continued to take on her own party when it was necessary. She also increased transparency by releasing her oil tax bill to her constituents 17 days prior to the special legislative session, opening up natural gas pipeline deals to all potential parties, putting the state checkbook online, and not allowing lobbyists in her office.

    Palin forward funded education to allow districts greater flexibility, supported increased vocational training and early education funding, opened up opportunity to Alaskan students to participate in regional medical schools, and increased overall funding for special needs education by 175% (before she herself became the mother of son with special needs). Believing that the best reform was close to home, Palin wisely also chose to monitor rather than participate in national standards for education.

    Health Care

    Palin introduced health care transparency legislation that established an Alaska health care information office to give consumers factual information on quality and cost to help them make better-informed health care decisions. Recognizing that health care must be market-and business
    driven, rather than restricted by government, Palin proposed repeal of Certificate of Need—a layer of bureaucracy that prevents medical facility development. She established the Alaska Health Strategies Planning Council, reduced Medicaid assessments by 83%, and expanded Alaska’s SeniorCare benefits program for low-income seniors.

    Happy Birthday Governor Palin!

    God bless you and your family.

  • BrianusBerkleianus

    BTW, guys, you may have noticed on Chris Wallace’s "Fox News Sunday" show yesterday that Mr. Wallace, in the course of the obligatory laudations that were showered down upon Marco Rubio, actually mentioned THAT forbidden name.

    The context was Wallace’s praise of Bill Kristol as a prognosticator.  Wallace noted that Kristol had picked Sarah Palin (i.e., for VP) … "in 2004."

    Sigh, even when they risk the wrath of their masters by actually naming her, they get the year wrong.

    Maybe the very thought of her makes them nervous–sort of like ole Karl Rove the other day, who choked on the very name "Sarah" in coining a new political figure, "Deb" Steelman!!.

    If/WHEN the Governor announces her run, all HELL is going to break loose; the GOPe and the Left will go INSANE!!

    I can’t wait!!
