The Governor’s speech at CPAC will be on Saturday, March 16th at noon.

Here’s a flashback to her speech last year;

The First Dude and Scott Davis are in fourth place at the Nome checkpoint. They are around a half hour behind the leaders.

‘Governor Palin Used Her Executive Authority to Make Government Smaller and More Ethical’ (August,2011)

    From the article:

"Executives at any level of government could use their power to grow government spending and power and to reward cronies or those who donated to their campaign.

Governor Palin is the only one who has a proven record of using her power to make the government smaller and less powerful. Governor Palin used her power to reduce government spending and state reliance on the federal funding. She desired to increase individual choice, not create individual mandates.

She used her executive authority to make government more ethical and transparent while removing cronyism rather than perpetuating it.

    My Dear Friends in Sarah,

    Happy Wednesday to you all!!

The announcement that the Governor will be speaking at this year’s CPAC convention has brightened and blessed the last couple of days for me. I am sure it has done the same for you. What a magnificent oration she delivered last year for CPAC–on her birthday too!!

If this is the effect that she produces with the mere announcement of one speech that is still more than three weeks away, what will be the effect when she REALLY raises the Battle Standard of Liberty, sounds the Trumpet of Freedom, draws the Sword of Combat for Flag and for Country!!

As she said a few weeks ago, we haven’t begun to fight!!

Sean Hannity had two interesting guests Monday evening on his FOX News show, whose work and testimony provide just the sort of material that, IMHO, can pave the road and the path for a Palin Presidency.

John Lott was at the University of Chicago for about five years. While he was there, he encountered barack obama about twenty times. Mr. Lott, who is an author and a defender of Second-Amendment rights, says that obama, when he first met him, greeted him with, "You’re the gun guy." He also says that obama said, "I don’t think people should be able to OWN guns" (emphasis mine). He also notes that obama seemed loath to engage in conversation, to partake in the give-and-take of intellectual exchange.

Now, two caveats: First, I am not sure that I got Mr. Lott’s citations of obama down exactly right. I did not record the program. Further, this evidence against obama is based on Mr. Lott’s recollections, without corroborating witnesses.

Still, if it is even close to accurate, it is quite damning!

We see that barack hussein obama really is completely opposed to our Constitutional right to keep and bear arms, whatever the liar may say in public.

obama is also revealed as a stiff and rigid Leftist ideologue, who is not interested in the intellectual debate that is one of the marks of a Free People. He would rather IMPOSE his ideas by force. This little Chicago thug is the true disciple of domestic terrorist bill ayers.

We need the Governor and an army of Constitutional Conservatives in Congress to clear up the vicious mess that this "president" is creating!

This leads to a second Hannity guest, the author Amity Shlaes. She has just written a book about President Calvin Coolidge, the quiet giant of the Roaring Twenties. She tells us that Coolidge was Ronald Reagan’s favorite President, at least for the twentieth century (again, I did not record Hannity, so I cannot go back and check these citations!)

I have written a few words here in the past about Coolidge. He was "Silent Cal" in more than one way. It is not just that he was personally taciturn and unassuming. No, his administration too was "silent" in that it actually followed the Constitutional blueprint of our Founders. President Coolidge actually lived and practiced the principle that the federal government should not be activist!

We need, IMV, another Coolidge, another Reagan, to clean up the filthy mess that is being created by the "community organizer" from Chicago!!

    WE NEED PRESIDENT SARAH PALIN!!!

Below are reflections on the next page of her beautiful first book, Going Rogue.

Commentary on previous pages, along with photographs, may be found at:

Have a great rest of the week. I shall see you this weekend.

    God bless you all always!!

    DEO VOLENTE, SARAH 2016!!!

    Brianus

    PAGE ONE HUNDRED SIXTEEN

On p. 116 of GR, Sarah continues her discussion of the 2006 campaign for the Governorship of Alaska. She writes, "On election day, we shocked everyone. We won the primary, pulling 51 percent of the vote in a five-way race. We won by taking on the entrenched interests and the political machine. With no negativity and with a highly energized grassroots campaign, we moved on to the general election, where we continued to have a ball. I put in twenty-hour days, with Todd and the kids by my side."

What treasures of political and personal wisdom, what adumbrations of the possible tone and tenor of a 2016 POTUS campaign, are contained and confined within the power and potency of these few lines!!!

First, let us notice that her triumph was unexpected: "we shocked everyone." The same phenomenon could be revealed in the 2016 race for the White House. Many there are who foolishly think that the Governor’s supposedly brief moment and hours in the sun have come and have gone forever. The obama Leftist thugs and the Jeb Bush/Karl Rove RINOs are going to be "shocked" on Election Day 2016, when, the Lord willing, the word goes forth to the nation and to the world: "Sarah Palin of Alaska has this day been elected as the forty-fifth President of the United States of America."

Next, note that she won a multi-cornered primary race. Some posters here believe that it is time for the Governor to launch a third-party run (really a first-party run: Constitutional Conservatives versus the Democrat/Republican Establishment Party). What Ross Perot and Admiral James Stockdale might have accomplished in 1992 against George H. W. Bush and Bill Clinton may actually come to pass this time. For example, it is conceivable that she could defeat Jeb Bush and Hillary Clinton in a three-way contest. I am sure that the Governor will weigh very carefully, in prayer and in thought, such a decision. After all, her hero, Ronald Reagan, chose the path of wresting control of the GOP from the Establishment, rather than launching a new Party. Still, triumph in a multi-candidate general election for 2016 is quite possible. Perot, IMV, demonstrated this.

If she runs, she will, once again, be running against "entrenched interests and the political machine."

Her campaign, unlike that of barack hussein obama in 2012, for example, will focus primarily, I would guess, on a POSITIVE agenda for America; it will depend on a grassroots effort, especially with neophytes to the political process, folks who have been completely turned off for years by BOTH political Parties, but who will rally to the battle standard of the Lady of the North Country.

And, yes, while she is engaged and engrossed in the utterly crucial and deadly GRIM work of rescuing Constitutional America from the foul and fetid death grip of evil entrenched interests, masquerading under the names "Democrat" and "Republican," she and her family and supporters will continue "to have a ball"!! Indeed, when one is faced and confronted with the foul stench and blast of the slings and arrows of HELL itself, like those that have been hurled against one lone Hockey Mom from Wasilla, what can one do but follow joyfully the precept of the Apostle St. Paul: GAUDETE IN DOMINO SEMPER, ITERUM DICO, GAUDETE–Rejoice ye in the Lord always; again I say, rejoice!!!!

Laughter in the Lord can deflect and defeat the deadliest of the darts of Tolkien’s Mordor!!

Further, she will labor TIRELESSLY for us and for America if she embarks on this run–like the twenty-hour days of ’06.

Finally, just as in 2006, Todd and the kids, FAMILY, will be by her side.

However, in addition, I would like to suggest that millions of us have felt, ever since August/September of 2008, that Sarah is like FAMILY to us. If she runs, she is going to have AN ARMY OF VERITABLE BROTHERS AND SISTERS BY HER SIDE WHO WILL FIGHT TO THE LAST TO PUT HER IN THE WHITE HOUSE.

Guys, only the Lord and Sarah can answer the question of whether or not she should run for 2016 and, if yes, how she should do it (GOP, non-GOP).

But if she does reach for the brass, no the GOLD ring, I believe that it will be the campaign of a lifetime … and that she will win a crushing and overwhelming victory–against all the expectations and hopes and plans of the enemies of America!!

    SARAH VICTRIX SEMPER!!!!

Debunking the false media portrayal of Gov.Palin as being "rigid and intolerant".
    ———-

    From "Going Rogue":

"Then he changed gears, shifting the topic to social issues. He seemed impressed when I told him that people in my own family disagree on some issues like abortion, but that we don’t argue over it at the dinner table. I have one relative who expresses her pro-choice position articulately.

My own pro-life opinion diverges from hers by 180 degrees, and we’ve had great, civil discussions on the topic.

It would later amaze my family and friends that the Obama-Biden camp and their media friends painted me as rigid and intolerant. It was assumed that I refused to hear alternative points of view and used topics like abortion and homosexual marriage as a political litmus test.

I explained that I had never asked anyone, including the Democrats I appointed, what their position on abortion was, and I didn’t discuss my opinion on homosexuality with cabinet members or judicial appointees, either.
Schmidt seemed surprised and pleased, even when I reiterated that I was solidly pro-life and hoped they would never try to temper my position on the issue.

Then we talked about gay marriage. That’s when I told them about Tilly, my junior high friend and college roommate, who, after college, decided to openly live her lifestyle she chose with her partner. To me, she was still Tilly. I loved her dearly-loved the whole Ketchum family. I explained to Schmidt that I opposed homosexual marriage, but that didn’t seem too controversial in the campaign since the Democrat candidate for president held the same position."

‘Some of Sarah Palin’s Ideas Cross the Political Divide’ (by Anand Giridharadas)

    From the article:

"But something curious happened when Ms. Palin strode onto the stage last weekend at a Tea Party event in Indianola, Iowa. Along with her familiar and predictable swipes at President Barack Obama and the “far left,” she delivered a devastating indictment of the entire U.S. political establishment — left, right and center — and pointed toward a way of transcending the presently unbridgeable political divide. As the Iron Dog riders raced north to Nome, they were required to take four rest periods. Three were for eight (8) hours each and they could choose when to use another “flexible layover” of (6) six hours. The flexible layover could have been used on its own or in combination with one of the fixed eight (8) hour locations. In total, they must rest for thirty (30) hours. The racers usually arrive at the half-way point – Nome — on Tuesday or Wednesday. They are required to reach Nome by 11:59 pm on the fourth day of the race (Wednesday). Then, they rest for 24 hours (they get a longer rest, of course, if they arrived earlier). The race is restarted in Nome at 8:00 a.m., Thursday morning. They go out in order, according to the order in which they arrived. During the second half of the race, two 10-hour layovers are required (for a total of 20 hours of rest time). They expect the first team to arrive sometime around 1 p.m. on Saturday, February 23rd. Here’s a link to the pro team rules:

        John,

Thank you so much. Greatly appreciated.

Freeper.I checked my camera. No inputs, so a shotgun mike is not happening with this unit. Next camera, though I’ll be sure it’s got the input and get a mic for it. Still 1080p is the next best thing to being there, even if there is a little echo in the audio. To do better than this with consumer grade equipment, you would have be at the event live. Pro equipment – that’s tens of thousands of dollars and far beyond what a Palinista volunteer can afford. Still, I’m always trying to improve and I’m a tech geek. Back in ’09 when I taped my first Palin event, YouTube was 240p – Standard Definition and there was a 10-minute limit. Now, we can bang out 1080p with a little camcorder for $299.99 and upload the whole thing to the Tube in one shot. It’s not $40K camera good, but it’s 90% of the way there. Each increment above that percentage, you’re going into huge money. But, if you know what you’re doing, you can really push consumer grade equipment to its full potential and bang out good stuff.

Given the Romney-Ryan campaign’s abysmal performance in losing all five of the states the candidates had lived or grown up in, it is hard to see how Sarah Palin would have lost any more of the states the 2012 Republican ticket did, while it is very easy to envision her having been a lot more competitive in places like Iowa, Ohio,
    Florida, and Colorado.

In fact, Sarah Palin and John McCain won more votes in 2008 than Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan did in 2012 against President Obama and Vice President Joe Biden.

For conservative activists, Tea Party voters, and fans of Sarah Palin, they will always wonder what might have been in 2012, but the popular former vice presidential candidate will continue to influence the country’s political discussion and command the national media stage withher 2013 CPAC speech.

    http://cnsnews.com/news/article/coal-industry-regulations-were-laughing-matter-epa

This is a prime example of the radical left ideologues, America-haters
all, that Comrade Obama has surrounded himself with as they laughingly
destroy a free America from within, following Obama’s example, with no
concern whatsoever for the misery caused to the millions who have lost
their jobs and to their families based upon the proven lies of the Gore
Green Goblins whose business it is to profit on the misery of others!
If there’s any justice left in this country the whole sorry lot of the

Keep it up, Senator Cruz, as, in setting the example of standing up to
the tyranny of a despot and his minions, to especially include Obama’s
water carriers in PRAVDA USA and the RINO GOPE, that has America by the

Our foreign policy in a word is a joke which no Secretary of State under
Obama, to include one that looks like a walking cadaver, which is
apropos since that’s what America has become under Obama’s morally
bankrupt free America killing policies, is going to be able to
resuscitate because Obama is a joke to our allies who know that Obama
cannot be trusted, as four Americans in Benghazi found out, and are de facto on their own, and most dangerously, to our enemies, Obama’s friends, who recognize weakness when they see it with an open invitation to strike while the iron is hot, given Obama’s unilaterally disarming America while they are arming to the teeth!

well, I had a delightful shock last night when I learned that the boy who grew up next door to me in Washington State is now running for senator in Massachusetts.
Gabriel Gomez was 13 when I met him. He is now in his 40s, an ex-SEAL and running as a republican.

    Let’s hope he does well.
I would love to see this site offer him some support; he may not be your perfect conservative but he is as straight a shooter as ever lived
Should Sarah support him? It’s up to her. Let’s hope so

He has not resufaced, as your impolite comment says, the surprise is his next career move.
He lives in MA but was raised in California and eastern Washington state. Therefore, he is not your traditional east coast liberal republican.
As a Columbian immigrant, he is more Spanish than Rubio.
He is more military than Scott Brown.
He is more for traditional values than Mitt Romney
as a person averaging 2 votes per comment. you should rethink your position.
You seem more out of the mainstream than he does.

For those following the IronDog, keep in mind that the race positions and course times into Nome will not necessarily be the standings leaving Nome tomorrow. Racers have the discretion to perform maintenance under tightly controlled conditions. All maintenance is done "on the clock" and the times will be added to their course times.

Last year, McKenna/VanMeter, the leaders into Nome (also leading this year), had less than 3 minutes "wrench time" and widened their lead during the layover.
