Video: Governor Palin’s Full 2009 NRA Speech

The Second Amendment has been under attack, which means the NRA has also been under attack. Gun owners everywhere are very concerned about the anti-common sense agenda which will make it more difficult for law-abiding citizens to protect themselves and those they love. It’s quite obvious that criminals don’t obey laws, so the measures the Obama administration and its cohorts are planning will not serve to curb gun violence.

Governor Palin, an NRA life member, has been a strong advocate for the Second Amendment. As an Alaskan and a hunter, she understands the value of this Constitutional right, and as far back as 2009, as discussed here, she warned a gathering of NRA members that this administration would use health care to infringe on the Second Amendment. As usual, she has demonstrated an interesting ability to predict the direction we’re headed as a nation. At a time when clueless people are counseling Americans to rely solely on whistles or buy a double-barreled shotgun, and when others are exploiting children to push gun control, Governor Palin sees the big picture.

Kenton and Pam Lodwick, also from Alaska, had the honor of videoing the Governor’s August 1, 2009 speech in Anchorage. The footage was then edited by All-Around Video. With permission from each of them, I’m posting the video in its entirety.

As Kenton indicated in the Youtube description:

At the 9:35 minute mark of Part 1, she gives a remarkably prescient prediction that there would be a some kind of tie-in between ObamaCare and guns in an effort to take away our Second Amendment rights.

This is what Governor Palin said nearly 4 years ago:

"And by the way, [with] health care being so big in D.C. right now, be wary when some kind of tie-in occurs. Because it will crop up: a tie-in with guns in an attempt to take away our rights under the guise of some new health care plan. You know that this is coming–that the two issues will somehow crop up and they’ll be tied together. So we have to be very wary of that." -Governor Sarah Palin, August 1, 2009 at the Captain Cook Hotel in Anchorage, Alaska

In this 2009 NRA speech, Governor Palin discussed the Second Amendment, and she warned us:

It never ceases to amaze me how many times the Governor has called it on what we as a nation are about to face because of all the crony capitalist and the deadbeat politicians.

One thing after another she calls it out months or years in advance. And yet they insist she can’t rub two brain cells together to spark an idea?

I’ve always admired her tenacity to keep saying what needs to be said. How she carry’s herself with grace while being demeaned by those within the ‘friendly’ confines of our own party.

It is abundantly clear that the Governor’s role in politics is needed on a bigger platform than just speeches at conventions and political group functions. Her presence in the biggest stage of all is needed to drastically restore our great nation! This nation cannot survive more liberals or moderates. To save this great republic must be guided by the best representative of common sense Conservatism.

I hope and pray that God will guide her through these coming years to bolster her courage and ability to humbly step up to serve!

Doesn’t it just blow your mind how intuitive Sarah Palin is when it comes to understanding the American Patriot’s way of looking at things…………..she is always 2 steps ahead of the progressives, a real proud American with enough common sense to overcome anything the elitists can throw at US.
She is US, she talks the talk and walks the walk!
She was ahead of the curve by 4 years with this great speech.
Support the NRA, they support US.

Thanks for finding and posting the whole speech, Adrienne. I wish Mark Levin would play the relevant part. Man, how many politicians have the ability to see what’s coming down the road like Sarah does?
