Governor Palin: ‘Happy MLK Jr. Day!’

Governor Palin posted the following via Facebook:

Happy MLK, Jr. Day!

"I have a dream that my four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin, but by the content of their character." – Martin Luther King, Jr.

Mr. President, in honor of Martin Luther King, Jr. and all who commit to ending any racial divide, no more playing the race card.

Have a Dream

Rather than the race card comment Sarah would have been better served to have said, "Mr. President, with all due respect, the reason that your poll numbers are so bad is that the American people have judged you by the content of your character, not the color of your skin." Just my two cents.

    • 01_Explorer_01

The President plays the race card so it is appropriate for Sarah to comment on it. Just my two cents.

    • Steve_Flesher

I respectfully disagree. She honored Dr. King and simultaneously encouraged the president to stop playing the race card with that same honor in mind. Clearly, calling out the left and their games is why they’re reacting in such an incoherent sputtering rage. Nothing new there. No matter what she says, they’ll always react to her the same way because they’re too self-centered to handle the truth.

        Hear, hear!

      • dmac8889

Correct Steve, it is not just the President Sarah is taking on here. She is EXPOSING the LEFT for their LIES that the political RIGHT are full of racists. She is also EXPOSING the political RIGHT for failing to have the courage to state the obvious. If you are not PROUD of Sarah taking this stand, than you are just cowering in the corner afraid to take on the LEFT Media, who will continue to impugn your character, with silence being their confirmation. GREAT for Sarah, she is SO rare.

    • suehimel

And it was a good 2 cents worth.

I know you’re long gone, and I see you defend the governor on other sites, but I guess you’re unaware of the President’s most recent use of the race card?

Most recent as in THIS WEEK?

      Here ya’ go:

      http://conservatives4palin.com/2014/01/obama-approvals-folks-dont-want-black-president.html

To conclude: Palin said EXACTLY what needed to be said in the way that it needed to be said.

If she had said it your preferred way, the Left still would have gone berserk, except the criticism would be that she was "twisting and abusing MLK’s own words!!!" or that she was "plagiarizing MLK!!!"

Race Baiting is all Obama has………ever has……….he’s Bi-racial……..so does Obama HATE is black side or his white side……………..or both……..

  • dmac8889

THANK YOU!!!! Sarah. On a day when Americans wish to live out MLK Jr’s dream of being judged on our character, the New Yorker Magazine prints an interview of President Obama, telling Americans: "I’m failing because you hate me, because I’m Black." The LEFT Media of course agrees with this wholeheartedly, and even those representing the political RIGHT on television, can’t help but state that racists among those on the political RIGHT.

There is? Someone please point these people out, because I can’t remember the last time I heard or read about a person known to be on the political RIGHT to go on a tirade of hate over black person(s). I do hear from the LEFT that the mere silence of racists remarks means that it exists. That’s correct. It exists behind close doors. Well behind close doors love ones spew hate at one another, usually because they have felt let down by that loved one.

When I’m looking for hate I simply Google Sarah Palin’s name, as I just did, and sure enough she is being attacked for making her remark about the President. Well Obama does play the race card, and it is observed by anyone who is not caught in their political bubble. Sarah understands the real reason we celebrate MLK Jr., and it is not just because he was a black man.

Her comments are causing such an eruption of vitriol it yet again confirms her relevance, and how effectively she can strike a nerve. I fear the lefties doth protest too much!

Tom Wolfe nailed this corrupt dynamic, in reporting on "Radical Chic and Mau-Mauing the Flak Catchers" in NYC (Radical Chic) and San Fran (Flak-Catchers), respectively, in the 1960s, and fashioned a superb fictional follow-up in "Bonfire of the Vanities" almost a generation later. The only thing that had changed is that racial charlatanism had attained a measure of acceptability, even respectability, among the radical chic of 1980s NYC. By then, as now, it was/is impossible for them to be embarrassed by the depth of their own stupidity:

      http://nypost.com/2014/01/22/shameless-and-partisan-hijacking-of-mlks-dream/

Savanarola was burned at the stake in a follow-up to the original "bonfire," but Al Sharpton got a gig on MSNBC, and is now the Leftist media’s anointed successor to MLK. Wolfe nailed
it in "Bonfire" 30 years ago, like he could see into our future. "Bonfire" is a comedy, because Wolfe thought the reality was too ironically ridiculous to portray in any other way, and still be accurate.

A real life story, of radical activism in support of Huey Newton and Eldridge Cleaver of San Fran’s Black Panther Party in the 60s and early 70s, was produced by the disillusioned former commie activist from the 1960s, David Horowitz ("Radical Son"). Horowitz may now be the country’s most tireless campaigner against what the radical Left is trying to do, and is succeeding at doing. He knows the drill, himself, how the Radical Left operates, and what they are after. Nothing has really changed since the 1920s for them. With all the dead bodies produced by the Panthers, et. al., David does not find anything about them to laugh about. Many of his blog’s contributors lived under Soviet Stalinism, or some other tyranny. You won’t find a better source, nor a more informed one, about how the Radical Left operates, than Horowitz’s blog:

Truth is strange, stranger than fiction. Sarah knows the truth, and is not afraid to speak it.

"Her comments are causing such an eruption of vitriol it yet again confirms her relevance, and how effectively she can strike a nerve. I fear the lefties doth protest too much!"

Absolutely right! How many on the Left would concede that MLK was an evangelical Christian? How many know that the KGB tried to recruit MLK as a puppet to discredit the U

both David Horowitz and Sarah Palin are lion hearted Patriots to whom all Americans, whether they realize it or not, owe a gigantic debt of gratitude. May they both live long and prosper.

Thank you – and for the links. Very interesting and enlightening.

Appreciate the response and links. Thank you.

  • John_Frank

Steve, thank you for bringing Sarah Palin’s latest FB post to people’s attention.

Governor Palin calls out the President over using his race as an excuse for his problems.

The Liberal response? To go bonkers. The lack of critical reasoning is both hilarious and tragic. One is reminded of William Buckley Jr.’s famous quote:

“Liberals claim to want to give a hearing to other views, but then are
shocked and offended to discover that there are other views.”

  • SusaninSC

Is there something Pres. Obama said that wasn’t true? Living in SC, I know there are those that do not like him because he is black and I know there are those that only like him because he is black. And that is all he said. The ones that don’t like him because he is black did not like him because he was black before he ever stepped foot in the WH. Now they have a whole lot of other reasons not to like him, just as those that do like him have a whole lot of reasons to like him. Speaking for myself, 5 years of giving people reason not to like him does not whitewash those who disliked him because of the color of his skin, to begin with. And they did and do exist.

Here is something to remind JACKASS (donkey) democrats/liberals:

Didn’t PERVERTED Bill Clinton complain that Obama’s
supporters played ‘the race card’ against Hillary ‘Benghazi’ Clinton
during the democrat primaries in 2008?
