Governor Palin to Peggy Noonan: ‘Better Late Than Never’ — UPDATE

Via Facebook:

Great article, Peggy, but where the heck were you when I and other commonsense conservatives were sounding the warning bell in ’08? You joined the "cool kids" in mocking and condescendingly criticizing — ultimately demanding that we "sit down and shut up." Better late than never, though, Peggy and your ilk, because, meanwhile back in America…

Click here to read the article Governor Palin shares as Noonon talks about "The growing distance between Washington and the public it dominates."

Indeed, it’s about time.

Beware of Peggy – she can’t be trusted – she is a tool – watch your back she has been and will trumpet big establishment goals – she is not a friend of Conservatives

    • lyndaaquarius

hard to trust someone who’s so easily fooled.

      • conservativemama

True. I can’t get past that because Obama was so easy to figure out.

        • wandrako

That is the truth. She has gotten a lot of mileage out of speech writing for the president. So affected.

      • Palinprodigy

Believe this, Peggy wasn’t fooled! Doc nailed it!

        • lyndaaquarius

so if she voted for and supported Obama with her eyes wide open, what is she so unhappy about now? What is not happening that she had hoped would happen by now? What is she so disappointed in?Why would she pretend to be disillusioned when as a Leftist she’d be silently very pleased?I agree she’s not a woman of solid principles. She just got embarrassingly scammed by "the young,JFK type who just wanted to unite all Americans". She does love pretty words. And ,politically, not a lot of street smarts. That’s how I see it.

  • Reynolds88

Here we go. Finally a knock on the door of the Washington-NY cabal of writers from someone who knows just how to do it. Mark Levin took note of this too ("Amen Governor") since he knows when a home run is being hit out of the park. Love it. And glad to see Sarah Palin in the line up.

    • MaMcGriz

      Man. Talk about chops.

      Right outa the park.

  • MaMcGriz

I believe Governor Palin is acutely aware that the political elite and the media have a great deal more in common with each other than with the American people.

Ms. Noonan is not just late to the party. She’s still too much a part part of the problem, as the Governor’s brilliant tweet helps illustrate so well, She in no uncertain terms calls her to account while giving Noonan’s story the boost every conservative journalist drools over: a re-tweet from Sarah Palin.

    Well done, Sarah.

    Thanks, Steve!

Steve HELP …. I can’t read this article I don’t have a WSJ Account … Please bring Article up…. link wont work

    • CliffNZ

At first I couldnt get it into it either, then I typed the article title into the search bar and it came up.

      • indemind

    • MyGMa

Noonan cross-posted her WSJ article on her Facebook page:
Better still you can leave some choice remarks on her FB page.

Well, here’s another journalist that’ll be annoyed by GOV. Palin and C4P.

    I Stand with Sarah Palin!!!

  • hrh40
    • lyndaaquarius

thank you so much. I just read it and actually feel pity for Peggy Noonan who was truly hoodwinked and bamboozled by Axelrod,Obama etc. She’s honestly beginning to see what many of us saw back in 2008. How dare the foppish, silly elites look down their noses at Sarah Palin and the Tea Party who will be the very ones to pull this country back from the brink and get it restarted. Send $$$ to SarahPac, if only a few dollars. It’s really needed now.

      • JanuaryRose

I have no pity for Piggy.

      • Lemuel Vargas

We should look at Peggy w/ reservations because she might be a sheep in wolf’s clothing (if you get my drift.)

      • Palinprodigy

Pity not needed, Peggy is no ones fool. She’s progressive and very good at what she does just like the Gov but on the opposite side! Please folks, keep in mind what the Gov tries to tell us all the time this is smoke and mirrors, a big show and Peggy is one of the cast members! Never trust her!

        • cathnealon

There are many jumping on the wagon that are not to be trusted. Both sides have sold out the American people–Noonan like Krauthammer and the rest of the aristocracy think they are better than us–they really do–we, here in the wilderness clinging to our guns ands Bibles, are like "acid on their skin." They can’t stand us. We might as well just face that. The fact that we were right all along must burn them like holy water thrown on a possessed person.

          • Palinprodigy

Slow down now, Noonan and the Kraut are still in our tent! It will take the tent I refer to to win in 2016 so lets fill it up and not throw anybody out, at least not yet!

            • cathnealon

They threw themselves out–and to keep trusting people who can'[t be trusted when we are facing down a Marist regime is delusional. 2016? Really? Two Years ago it was 2012? Remember?
No, we are dealing with enemies of the United States of America–just because it was a bloodless coup doesn’t mean it wasn’t a coup and we better start thinking and acting like this is a war for our country. Heck, even Joan of Arc, a saint, had to finally take up arms to save France. Ukrainian people have shown us what must be done to oust these communists..

              • cathnealon

              • Palinprodigy

We by no means trust these folks, we just need their VOTE! "You say that you are my judge; I don’t know that you are; but take good heed not to judge me ill, because you would put yourself in great peril" Joan of Arc/1429

                • cathnealon

And your quote from J of A makes my point!
Time to stop this magical thinking about 2016–let’s start fighting now by forgetting about the Krauthammers and Noonans–look to the people–for gosh sake.
Why is Palin even giving this person legitimacy by responding? The Marxists will not be removed by an election, believe me, or by getting the vote of a Noonan.

                  • Palinprodigy

Cath, I couldn’t agree more, if I were you I would just lock myself in the basement and never vote again! But seriously, there are laws against doing the things that you are suggesting and are necessary to put our Country back on it’s feet! There are those of us that are willing and able but I fear not enough at this point in history. Just as soon as Social Security goes under and the Unions bankrupt the pensions you will then have plenty of help, unfortunately it will take devastation to get peoples attention in this and every other Country on earth! People don’t get mad until they have some skin in the game. Just like in the Ukrain, devastation = pissed off people!

  • hrh40

    First, Kraut.

    Second, Noonan.

    Who’s next?

    • lyndaaquarius

We’re starting to see the recognition that we have a genuine leader emerging. The political winds are shifting as we knew they would. Stand with and trust the former governor of Alaska.

    • conservativemama

      David Brooks and George Will

  • patnatasha

    nice one sarah.

  • hope4palins

Maybe it’s just me, but I notice a difference in tone. Her rebuke of Ms. Noonan’s earlier elitist attitude is a bit sharper than what I would have expected. I’m not judging that (in fact I welcome it), I’m just wondering if I’m the only one who notices more of an edge in her rebuke this time. If so, it makes me curious because I’ve learned that Gov. Palin is very precise in her language and tone. That’s probably something that, if true, can only be known by Gov. Palin and Ms. Noonan. Again, that doesn’t bother me in the slightest: I love it when so-called "big name" pundits (actually just self-important blowhards imo) get put in their place.

    • Laddie_Blah_Blah

Sarah is putting down the sneering sense of cultural superiority that characterized Noonan’s put-downs of the Tea Party and of the guv, in the past, just to emphasize Peggy’s irrelevance, now, IMO.

Sarah was only five full years ahead of Noonan. It is more than being right, five years before Noonan, IMO. It is also about how the beltway bubble dwellers have nothing to teach the rest of us, and certainly not Sarah Palin,

I think she is saying listen up, Peggy, and learn. The same goes for the rest of Noonan’s "ilk," as Sarah put it. Sarah could be developing a campaign meme for 2014 – i.e. you listened to them before, and look at them now. "Them" being the PPC of both parties, the media, academia, and all of the sneering cultural elitists who got everything so very wrong.

Sarah has been storing up the ammo, and she looks to me like she is getting ready to start shooting. Full automatic. Fish in a barrel. Time for those fools to STFU.

      • hope4palins

ROFL. I hope you’re right. Love that last sentence. Sooner or later, they will have to because the Republican Party can’t survive much longer under their leadership imo.

      • conservativemama

Laddie! Love it! Bring it dude!

      • Reynolds88

As my dad told me back in elementary school, punch the bully in the nose and the rest will take notice. Well I punched the bully’s best friend and it worked out fine at the time. The other trick, I learned is make best friends with the biggest guy in the yard (room) and so Sarah is "pals" with Roger Ailes and Donald Trump. Those freindships might help her sometime, since NOBODY pushes those guys around (without hearing about it later) and the rest only take shots at Sarah Palin now from behind lots of camouflage (like behind the camera at MSNBC). Even some of those have found out that liberal-media impunity means very little to a professional like Sarah Palin.

      • Jthom26837

Very well written. Thank you, Laddie.

    • Reynolds88

I think Section9 (posted below) has some of the back pages that relate to your curiosity here.

Since you’re in the mood for a little truth, I’ll give you mine: That grief you’re feeling stems from your mind’s growing realization that by your words and actions you became nothing more than collateral damage in the war for freedom years ago.

Your column? A plaintive wail from one of those who sold us out. Means nothing… Why should it? You aren’t even worth the price of a moments rage these days because I’m too busy trying to save what you tried to give away.

Peggy Noonan engaged in a vicious put-down of Governor Palin after the Governor had referred to former President Reagan’s previous stint as an actor. Sarah is reminding conservatives that Noonan had enabled and had been an apologist for a man whose mission in life was to undo everything that Reagan had spent thirty years in politics trying to achieve.

Reagan stood for limited government, lower taxes, a strong national defense, and the elimination of totalitarian socialism as embodied by the Soviet Empire. Reagan’s victory was only temporary with regard to domestic affairs, and it turns out that Noonan wanted to be popular with the Chattering Classes, while Palin didn’t give a damn.

Palin kept her eyes on what Reagan stood for, while Noonan turned her back on the man for whom she wrote speeches. That’s why conservatives have a hard time with what Noonan is writing these days: they don’t forget Vichy Republicans.

    • conservativemama

      Vichy Republicans…………… it!

    • friskyness

It’s "all in the moment" for these people…..whatever is popular that’s where they go…….people like Peggy have no credibility….I don’t understand why some people still read her……………..

    • Kathleen

This is one of the things that’s really sickened me about Peggy Noonan since she fluttered her eyelashes at Barack Obama. I read her book, "When Character Was King," about Reagan. It was one of the most loving pictures I’d ever read "painted" about Reagan. To have her take to her fainting couch swooning over Obama made me physically ill with revulsion. It made me sick to think Noonan could turn her back on everything Reagan stood for, just so she could be at all the fancy parties with the Chattering Classes. Disgusting.

    • BearNJ

It’s all that and the fact Peggy, wearing her June Cleever pearls, likes to lecture conservatives that we should have relected Rinos like Dick Lugar because they are "The adults in the room".

The "adults" in the establishment are bankrupting the country. Lugar is a undermined Mourdock after his defeat. Lugar is now supporting a Democrat in Georgia for Senate. Rinos are losers.

Its about being part of the club. Both sides viewed Sarah as a threat and mocked her for not being Ivy league with a degree in bankrupting the country. They used Saul Alinsky tatics against her. Its why the left sent an army of Democratic hack lawyers to Alaska to use bogus ethic charges to bankrupt her. Its why when Sarah’s name is mentioned on the Sunday shows they all giggle like moronic school children hearing an inside joke.

Its no joke that when Sarah was governor , Alaska was second in job growth and its bond rating improved. I would love to see Sarah with her conservative principles , vitality and beauty stand next to and debate a haggard looking 70 year old Hillary Clinton who promise another 4 years of soft tyranny and misery. The contrast would be striking.

      • Lemuel Vargas

And the fact that the GOPe has become Democratic Party lite, doing its bidding but in a lighter form.

      • Palinprodigy

The last 4 sentences are as good as it gets! Well done!

  • MiBones

Palin 4 America has a link of the full article.

  • FaithColeridge33

I’ve been waiting forever for Sarah to lay into this nitwit.

  • Laddie_Blah_Blah

Peggy Noonan has no credibility. She is trying to regain some relevancy, but it won’t work. Just a matter of time before she endorses Jeb Bush and urges him to run.

Meanwhile, back in America, we know who we want.

    • lyndaaquarius

      we sure do!

    • c4pfan

      Too true!

    • Vicki

Really. On Special Report they’re already teeing him up since they see their pal Christie may be taking a dive. Disgusting.

Jeb Bush Hints at 2016 Run

      and here is the article…

Thanks Sarah for finally slapping down this Breathy, Beltway, RINO Bitty.
Piggy Neeeeeeeeewnan has needed her comuppance for a long time. Let this be a lesson also to Piggys other little Beltway drinking buddy "Laura Ingraham!

      Piggy Noonan and Kathleen Porker.

          Blimp Boy. LOL

  • carolhaka

    I heart Sarah Palin!

  • conservativemama

I love, love, love that Gov. Palin points out and calls out the Peggys of the world. Not only reminding everyone of how wrong they were, but how right she and all of us were.

They need to be outed for the gullible fools they were and I’m sorry, continue to be.
