Governor Palin Launches the Sarah Palin Channel

Governor Palin has launched an exciting new channel on the web, The Sarah Palin Channel.

She says:

Hey There! Thanks for stopping by the Sarah Palin Channel, our new online TV network! I hope you’ll come inside and help us build the next big thing!

Here on the Sarah Palin Channel, I’ll answer your questions, take you behind the scenes of my life, offer tips on everything from parenting to cooking, and, of course, call out the nonsense that’s taking place all across America.

-Sarah Palin

The channel is brand new but the web site already has some amazing content.

Check it out here.

  • KentonAK

Awesome! A fireside chat with Sarah on her new channel…

"Here’s a question supporters on Facebook often ask: "How many things can you name that Obama has failed at?" Today that question comes from Robert Bannister. There’s not enough time to capture all of the President’s legendary blunders, Robert. But let’s start with an obvious one. Team O loves playing the roulette board with other people’s chips." -Sarah Palin

Variety is reporting that "Active U.S. military members can subscribe free of charge".

Thank you for thinking of our troops Governor!

    • Laddie_Blah_Blah

Wow! It gets even better, the more we learn.

  • Victoria Richardson

This is awesome news !! Who knows, this could be shown on Newsmax Channel or she could get her own network like Glenn Beck has.

  • colint

Is my understanding right. The shows are recorded and member can play them at any time. There are new shows Daily? or how often?. members will be able to call in at any time to ask a question. Sarah will select questions to answer. She can record the shows at her home or any where else.

  • MarkRNY

I hope this thread stays where it is for at least a few weeks–prominent and on top. Give "lurkers" time to see it and sign up.

  • Laddie_Blah_Blah

Just read about this. Terrific news.

  • dave7777

Hope this takes off and surpasses Beck. Just joined. Not easy to do.

    • PhilTan

I agree. I gave up on Beck a while back. Sorry but I don’t think he’s all there. And he turned on the Guv.

      • M_Minnesota

        Beck who?

  • richhahn

My simple analysis, which might be wrong, is this. Sarah is not planning on running for President in 2016. If she was, her channel would be free to get as wide a viewership as possible.

This is largely preaching to the choir. We don’t have to ability to suggest to someone that there is a great video on the Sarah Palin channel they should see, without them being prompted to pay a fee to join. This won’t go over well with Palin doubters.

One option would have been to have the videos free, but charge a membership fee for the ability to be a member – post, ask questions, etc.

Another option would have been to operate the site on donations.

Again, I could be wrong and hope that I am, but this does not look to me like it is laying the groundwork for her own Presidential run. It certainly has the possibility of being influential in determining the agenda and may even be influential in determining the Republican candidate. To really be effective, these videos need a much wider audience than they will get on a subscription web site.

    • John Kagen

      I agree with Rich.

100USD a year is too much for all those that like Palin that are relatively poor., even if u are a non-US supporter.

For doubters that are on the fence with Sarah, its not positive either, as she already has SarahPAC and should emulate Reagan’s approach that she talked about before, free video-content with a subscription only for those that want, need more, premium.

In my view it also indicate she has moved further away from her interest as a public officeholder for the foreseeable future or never again.

      • section9

Yes and no. I’ve always been skeptical about her being a candidate and consider it a huge waste of talent.

However, I have learned NOT to predict what Palin is going to do.

The political atmosphere today is actually conducive to a Palin candidacy, and I think Palin knows it, but that does not mean she will be a candidate.

The pay channel concept is actually necessary if you are in Palin’s shoes. If she is going to pay for her own propaganda, someone has to pay her. She learned in 2011 and 2012 that she can’t trust Roger Ailes any more, so what does one expect her to do?

She needs to make money for her investors and be able to get her message past a News Media that is in the pocket of the Democratic Party. This is a great idea for her and it’s ahead of the curve of the other guys.

        • AndAwayWeGo

Is this comparable to Reagan’s foray into talk radio in the late 70s?

          • Laddie_Blah_Blah

Great analogy. Reagan not only expanded his base and his audience, he honed his message and studiously did his homework.

        • Budvarakbar

After all — she can’t get $32,400 a plate contrib’s from the hollyweird and Seattle and Wall Street fatCats –

          • lyndaaquarius

            excellent point.

        • John Kagen

My caveat is also that nobody can predict what Palin will do or not.

It’s 900+ days until 2016 election so much can change during that period, if Hillary runs or not etc.

btw: your prediction Section9 of Jeb running is a banker in my view, he will be touted as the one that can bring in the most Hispanics to win.

      • Victoria Richardson

It could expand into commercial website and even a network like Glenn Beck’s The Blaze.

      • Lemuel Vargas

There is an alternative subscription, It is $9.99 for 1 mo. w/c would be easy for a working person like me.

    • DDJ58

Don’t try to figure Governor Palin out. She lives in the moment. Who knows what will happen by 2016 anyway. Just enjoy her amazing cutting-edge freshness that she brings. Enjoy the fact that the Left tried to destroyed her and her family and Alaska, and she continues to run circles around them. When the time is right Governor Palin will decide what to do. Other candidates spend all their time trying to run for office and get nothing else accomplished, not the Governor. So just relax!

      • Rightmindedmom

I have spent the last 3 years now (since that fateful day when she decided not to run for president – 10/5/11) just watching her and supporting her. I’m done trying to figure Sarah out. She’s many moves ahead of many of us. I just pray daily that God will help her lead the USA out of the depths of despair, in which we’re in right now.

        • DDJ58

I’m just enjoying the ride as she challenges us to stand up and not take what’s being dished out. Governor Palin is truly making a difference without a title. It’s all good.

        • Lemuel Vargas

Also in will be entertaining to watch those liberals and those suffering from PDS frothing in their mouths and have epileptic seizures because of this.

      • Lemuel Vargas

As for me, my support will always be for her even if she does not run for any public office.

        • lyndaaquarius

it’s just that her capability is so immense that her presidency would positively impact America for generations. Look what she did in a short time in Alaska. I wish her all the best.

    • Ting

The first option that you suggested is a reality.

The site says that they want you to share videos on Facebook and other social media. When a non-subscriber clicks on a link that you have shared, they may watch the video, but not participate in any discussion. That does get the message out to others for "free". All subscribers who also use social media should be sharing the content regularly. I think they hope we will do this, based on the wording of the explanation.

      • colint

Does this mean C4P or any FB page can post a link to a youtube video of one of her shows. Does this mean that there would be a count of all views of a show video.

      • Kal_Vernon

    • Kal_Vernon

      From the FAQ –

      Is the Channel member only?

Yes, we have launched our video channel looking for the support of our community through subscriptions. We also feel that the community would feel more secure knowing everyone watching, uploading videos, and participating in the discussions and video chats was a contributing member and not anonymous.

That said, you are free to share your favorite videos with your friends on Facebook and elsewhere, and if they click on the links you share they too will be able to watch the video you share (although not see or participate in the conversation around it). We think our videos are valuable to many, and encourage you to pass them on to friends in this way.

      • richhahn

Thanks. Good to know videos can be shared.

      • Laddie_Blah_Blah

How about pro-Palin sites? Does it mean that if C4P subscribed, would they be able to link to the videos from this site? Will someone like Mark Levin be able to subscribe and play the audios on his show?

      • DocBarry1

Great thanks so much for sharing.

    • 01_Explorer_01

People need to get past the running for President in 2016. Your analysis seems logical.

    • Laddie_Blah_Blah

"Sarah is sometimes hard to figure out because she is playing 2 or 3 moves ahead of the rest of us."

That’s right. I think this rules out 2016, as well, but this enables her to get her message out without any possibility of MSM filtering, while immunizing her from any charge that she is the tool of any interest group of any kind. She has her own trumpet now, and can sound off any time she wishes on any topic she chooses.

We’ll see what 2020 brings, or 2024. By 2024, all of her children will have reached adulthood, except for Trig. This move will allow her to keep her family first, while enhancing her political profile, honing her message, and defining the issues of the day in ways you will not find from any other source.

I think this move makes it much more likely that she will run, but not in 2016. And I disagree that $10 per month is too much for most of her followers. That’s 2 cups of coffee at Starbucks, per month.

      • AmazedOne1

Thanks for the sensible post, Laddie!

      • AmazedOne1

That’s 2 cups of coffee at Starbucks, per month.

I was thinking about your comment while I was cleaning up tonight. I realize that a LOT of people use that as a comparison, so I’m not really disagreeing with you — just kinda thinking aloud:

I don’t pay outlandish prices for coffee. I don’t have that kind of money to spend — but even if I did, I just generally too thrifty to do it. Anyhow, my own is better. I can add my own flavorings (that cost less than $10 for about six months). I buy Harney and Sons tea and enjoy it at home.

Anyhow, I DO, of course, understand what you’re saying. BUT, $10 a month is $100 a year, and that’s a lot of money on some budgets. So, I’m glad that Sarah’s channel allows people to share videos on Facebook, because I can still see them.

        • Laddie_Blah_Blah

That’s funny. I make my own at home, too. I do buy Starbuck’s mocha drink at Costco, though – only $10 for 12 bottles when on sale. But my son buys a "grande" every morning without even thinking about the yearly cost of that.

"BUT, $10 a month is $100 a year, and that’s a lot of money on some budgets."

I know. But those of us who can afford that $10 are legion.

          • AmazedOne1

My daughter worked at Starbucks for a while and was shocked to find that some people not only buy one each morning like your son, but some visit the store numerous times each day. :-)

        • DocBarry1

Everyone has to make a decision on expenditures and their finances. This is a personal decision and it should be that way.

This new Channel is just another platform for the Governor to get her messages out She still has her Face Book postings, Op-Eds, C4Palin, etc

For those that subscribe to the new Channel and if a person has the time, that person can help her get her message out. We can also share interesting topics with people at other sites

Those that want the Gov to be our President and believe in her message, whether she runs or not, must help her get her message out.

          • AmazedOne1

Still thinking of budgeting — if one of my animals were sick, I’d spend the $100 without question. So, it’s not that it’s not available, just that I have to be careful so it IS available if needed.

And, for me, although it would be fun to see a few extra videos, I already know enough of Sarah and her positions that I don’t need to see additional videos. In general, I much prefer written stuff because it’s so much quicker to skim a page.

Even when Sarah’s on Fox, I watch the video, but prefer waiting and finding a transcript. So, that’s why I don’t feel like I have to make a sacrifice to pay for access to a channel that I just wouldn’t watch. And, as you say, I can certainly continue to help get her message out without it, since the channel doesn’t allow linking to videos, anyhow.

            • DocBarry1

              Does allow sharing videos

              • AmazedOne1

Yep, something changed. Earlier, they said they’d allow sharing only on social media like Facebook, but not links on message boards. Now, suddenly, links work. That’s great!

      • Lemuel Vargas

We should still support her even if she does not run for any public office.

        • Laddie_Blah_Blah

"We should still support her even if she does not run for any public office."

      • lyndaaquarius

but,it’ll be in 2016 amidst all the chaos and decline that her strength, guts and smarts will really be needed.

        • Laddie_Blah_Blah

She will be there, Lynda. She always is. But I don’t think it will be as a candidate, this time around. Of course, I could be wrong. It wouldn’t be the first time.

    • Vicki

good videos may be featured on youtube and therefore draw people into subscription. Sounds kind of silly but that’s how I get my steel guitar lessons. You can see almost half of each lesson for free on Youtube. If you like it then you buy the whole thing. I bet they’ll do something like that.

      • DocBarry1

Great point – my ipad is working but I can’t edit above post.

    • AmazedOne1

I think you could be VERY right that this could be "a Sarah poll" to see how many are really willing to pay and work and put action behind their talk.

      • DocBarry1

I am with you on this and have been saying this for months.

She is watching closely the results in the primaries, the 2014 election results and as she has already noted the GOP establishment, as they did in Mississippi, will go after her in an all out assault to stop her.

She is now determining with this Channel how much support she has, even though she knows that she has a tremendous amount of support that can’t budget and pay for a subscription.

Finally, she is the only one that the Dems, the Rhinos, the GOPers, the LSM, including Fox News, fear because she will return our Country to a Constitutional Government, while taking on Crony Capitalism etc

I, for one, is praying that agod continues to Bless her and sends a message to her and her family that this is the time that she is needed in the USA – I want to see 2016 President Palin

        • DocBarry1

My ipad has stopped and I can’t edit my post above

"… I, for one, continue to pray that God continues to Bless the Governor and her family – and sends a message to her and her family that this is the time when she is needed in the USA, I want to see a 2016 Palin Presidency".

        • AmazedOne1

Yeah, I think this is a way to get specific numbers.

She can see SOME numbers by looking at the amount of viewers of her shows. But that also includes lots of people who like Alaska and/or the outdoors without necessarily liking her politics.

The number of "likes" on Facebook shows SOME agreement of her politics — but it also includes a lot of haters who are following due to PDS.

The donations to SarahPAC show pretty accurate numbers because those are people who are purposefully giving money for the cause.

I think the numbers who subscribe to the new channel are an even more pinpointed audience as that’s ongoing financial "support" and agreement with her message. Those are the ones who will also support her in the political arena, whether she remains as a leader in the Tea Party or runs for office.

    • Lemuel Vargas

So what if she does not run for President on 2016? As for me, my support will still be with her even if she does not run for any public office.

    • DocBarry1

Any member can pass along any video on the Channel

The only qualifier is that you can’t join the discussion on the Channel

It is free to current vets and I am hoping that at some time in the future, people who can’t afford a monthly and/or yearly cost will have an option at a reduced rate

Finally, this Channel is a part of TAPP, a subscription business, they have wealthy backers but are in it to make a profit – they offered her a platform to go around the LSM – her message will get out just like it did on Impeachment

  • CliffNZ

    Great! Signed up and enjoying!
