The True Environmentalists

"I love speaking about this issue."

"About conservationists being the real environmentalists."

"Because so many so-called environmentalists today are hypocrites, and maybe .. they don’t know what they’re talking about."

"So I wanna take a moment to talk about a topic near and dear to my heart."

"Conservationists!"

"The first and true environmentalists."

"For too many people today there’s this huge divide between nature and our modern city life."

"At one extreme, people are locked in an urban sprawl of endless parking lots and strip malls."

"At the opposite extreme, radical environmentalists.  They want to just shut off and put nature in its own area."

"As if human beings will defile it if we so much as step foot on it."

"Well, in the middle of these two extremes you’re gonna find conservationists."

"Hunters, sportsmen .. who love nature and know how to protect it and enjoy it."

 

"And be responsible stewards of our natural heritage in this beautiful green earth that God created for mankind’s use .. responsible use."

"We don’t want to separate, divide nature from humanity."

"No, we want to be a part of nature."

"We don’t want to pave over it with a parking lot. We want to preserve it."

"To borrow a phrase from my friend, my blood brother Ted Nugent .. we hunters and conservationists, we’re the ones who stop the bulldozer boogie."

"We protect the wetlands and the wildlife preserves."

"We believe in predator control in order to grow herds."

"I don’t think you’ll find a group of people more dedicated to honest stewardship of the environment than hunters."
