Rasmussen appears to have included non-candidate Rick Perry and excluded Governor Palin in his most recent Iowa caucus poll. If Rasmussen’s poll is correct, then I think Ron Paul is a good bet to win the Ames straw poll.

During the fiscal years for which Sarah Palin exercised budgetary authority as Governor of Alaska, the State’s General Fund averaged an annual surplus of more than $2.6 billion (up from her predecessor’s average of $1.0 billion), amounting to 24.4% of average revenues over the same period.

Alaska under Palin was the only state to see a reduction in total liabilities (34.6% overall, 11.5% per year), due in large part to the Governor’s insistence that the State’s surplus be used to pay down unfunded pension obligations and forward-fund education.

It sounds like enough of our non-Iowa readers plan on being in Waukee, Iowa at the time of Governor Palin’s tea party speech on September 3rd at Highland Antique Acres in Waukee, Iowa that we could hold an informal C4P gathering perhaps on September 2nd for dinner before the event and then a dinner after her speech on September 3rd for whomever is still around.

Conroy pretty much confirmed what Cindy Adams reported in the New York Post earlier this month about how the Governor “has retreated to Alaska to immerse herself in policy and to strategize with her husband, Todd, and top advisers about how a potential campaign would work.”

The Undefeated will be shown in four new cities this week. The cities are Cincinatti, Ohio, Columbus, Ohio, Charleston, South Carolina, and Salt Lake City, Utah. It is important that you find a way to go if you can and bring as many supporters and skeptics as possible to the theaters this week. The media has written the film’s obituary but we have the opportunity to write its week 3 comeback.

Rick Perry is such a game-changer that he’s losing to Jon Huntsman and is tied with Rudy Giuliani in Iowa. Nationally, a higher percentage of Republican and Republican-leaning independents want Governor Palin in this race than the percentage of Republican and Republican-leaning independents who want Governor Perry in this race.

“The Undefeated” ranks as #15 in the all-time highest grossing debut category (and this includes Michael Moore’s unique hold on this category). However — and this is a mighty important however – nine of the films ranked above the Palin doc opened on more screens — in some cases hundreds more.

Palin: “We are in desperate need of real leadership, but President Obama’s solution to everything is to grow government by borrowing more money, spending more money, printing more money, and taxing our job creators. He once said that he ‘believes in American Exceptionalism…just as the Greeks believe in Greek Exceptionalism.’ Well, the path he has us on will make us just as ‘exceptional’ as Greece – debt crisis, stagnation, permanent high unemployment, and all.”
