John Phillips:January 2013 – The Man For The Job Is Sarah Palin

March 10 2011 - 10:43 AM | By:

LA talk show host John Phillips blogged an interesting post on Sarah Palin at the LA Times. His key point was that whoever was sworn in on a cold day in Washington in January 2013 was going to have to take some very difficult decisions and suffer a rough ride from all quarters all the way to 2016.

Governor Palin to Politico: Take Your Liberal Biased Debate And Shove It!

March 08 2011 - 7:49 PM | By:

Let us not mince words. It's pretty clear that Governor Palin, with her years of experience in running a business, close to 20 years of public service, and her vast experience in energy, is running for President of the United States. She will be participating in a lot of debates but the liberal biased Politico/NBC debate will not be one of them.

Harry Reid: Mean-Spirited Republicans Want to Cut Funding for "Cowboy Poetry"

March 08 2011 - 7:43 PM | By:

Can someone explain how it is that out of 300 plus million people in the United States, this moron is Senate Majority Leader?  This is the best we can do?  Our nation is going broke and he can't even cut subsidies to cowboy poetry.  I wasn't even aware that cowboy poetry existed, much less that someone decided that taxpayers should subsidize it.

BBC On Palin – Fairer Than Your Average US Media?

March 08 2011 - 5:49 PM | By:

Being an Englishman and a political junkie I watch BBC Newsnight regularly. As with the US networks the BBC has an inbuilt left/liberal bias but, although you could never get an Obama/Clinton style love-in for Governor Palin, the recent Newsnight profile of her was reasonably fair.

John Melloy | Welfate State: Handouts Make Up One-Third of U.S. Wages

March 08 2011 - 5:09 PM | By:

John Melloy | Welfate State: Handouts Make Up One-Third of U.S. Wages Government payouts—including Social Security, Medicare and unemployment insurance—make up more than a third of total wages and salaries of the U.S. population, a record figure that will only increase if action isn’t taken before the majority of Baby Boomers enter retirement. Michael Kinsley | Of Course Mitt Romney’s a Phony

March 08 2011 - 7:51 AM | By:

Michael Kinsley | Of Course Mitt Romney’s a Phony We’re all for transparency these days, and if anything is transparently clear about American politics, it is that Mitt Romney will do or say anything to become president. Democrat Deficit Reduction Plan: Reduce Spending by 0.28%

March 07 2011 - 5:00 PM | By:

Sooner or later ( I suspect sooner), investors will demand much higher interest rates for U.S. debt or look elsewhere to invest their money.  This is both predictable and inevitable if we continue down the path Durbin, Obama, and their ilk are leading us.  When that happens the U.S. government will have effectively ceded control of the budget to creditors, who will then dictate our priorities much like the IMF dictates priorities to Banana Republics, an outcome Governor Palin has been warning us about repeatedly.
