I have always regarded Dan Riehl as the one of the most honest, independent and fearless commentators of the right. Serious and thoughtful, nobody would ever accuse Mr Riehl of playing to the gallery. He ploughs his own furrow and does not hesitate to lock horns with fellow conservatives if the occasion arises.

Erick Erickson, Jan. 2011: ... "if the election were held tomorrow and Mike Pence isn’t in, Palin has my vote." This was obviously a load of nonsense aimed at fooling his readership since Erickson has since jumped onto almost every bandwagon but Palin’s.

Scott Conroy from Real Clear Politics is reporting that "[s]ources close to Palin and event organizers have downplayed that speculation, but the 2008 GOP vice presidential nominee is often unpredictable and may face increasing pressure to show her cards to the throngs of supporters who make the trip to south-central Iowa for the highly anticipated event."

We suggest that passengers eat dinner before arriving to get on the bus and bring snacks if they wish. We will be leaving Houston at 6:00 PM, we ask that passengers be on time to meet the van so that we may stay on schedule. We will be making stops along the way for passengers to stretch their legs, if they aren’t sleeping. And stopping in the morning for breakfast.
