A kinetic military action? I'm confused. Is a kinetic military action what one employs to combat a "man-caused disaster"? If so, how does a kinetic military action differ from an an "overseas contingency operation"? Or is it the same?

“We have tens of billions of barrels of oil warehoused underground in Alaska,” Palin said. “But the president goes to Brazil. It's gone from ‘Drill, Baby, Drill' to ‘Drill, Brazil, Drill.’”

People are free to support any candidate they want, of course, but to say something this detached from reality and, well, profoundly stupid, calls into question everything else you utter or write.

The fact Palin has any support at all is a miracle given the slander and libel she’s endured the last two and a half years.

John Zogby | Romney Standing Still As I look at how Mitt Romney is doing in our Republican presidential horserace poll, it seems like (as Yogi Berra said) “déjà vu all over again.” In a phone poll we conducted in late February 2007, Republican primary and caucus voters placed Romney third at 9% in a […]

In the 1980s, Ronald Reagan worked tirelessly to clean up Carter's malaise and restore America's spirit, economy and international standing, and his success in that endeavor ranks him as one of America's greatest presidents. If Governor Palin runs for president in 2012, she will essentially have to perform the same task.

One of the more amusing aspects of following politics over the past couple years is watching political pundits, whether on television or in the print media, insist they know what Governor Palin's future plans are.

According to Barr, when there's a report by the media, regardless of whether or not they have a clue about which they speak (they don't), it should be deemed more reliable than a statement made by someone that actually works for Governor Palin and thus, knows what he's talking about.

Sarah Palin demonstrated a greater understanding of the problems confronting Israel than the collective wisdom of all the J.D.'s, Ph.D's, and Masters of International Affairs in the Obama administration combined.

Sarah Palin understands the language of international power politics. She's fluent in it. When she uses mama grizzly imagery, she is talking about the primal condition of nature.

It's amazing that anyone still listens to this joker. If conservatives had followed his advice in 2009 and 2010, there would have been no Tea Party, Democrats would still control the House, and Obama would be sailing toward re-election since there would be, at best, only token opposition to his policies. He is, as Levin so aptly describes him, an embarrassment.

Since Politico felt it was newsworthy to note the fact that Obama's job approval rating had risen to a high on March 18th, it should likewise find it equally newsworthy and note that the same pollster shows him dropping by a net eleven points since the March 18th finding.
