Glenn Harlan Reynolds | Uncivil Disobedience: Media Ignores Union Thuggery Just a couple of months ago, in the wake of Jared Loughner’s shooting of Rep. What happens when 100 Million people tune into a debate between Barack Obama and Sarah Palin? What happens when she speaks freely and convincingly in that debate, as she did in a great interview with the Long Island Association? And then what happens when people realize that she isn’t the moron “they” have attempted to portray her as? That she can speak without uhhh’s and ummm’s like someone else cannot?

President Obama shows himself to be on the wrong side of the issues of energy yet again. When he promotes development of fossil fuels, he does so in foreign countries where companies cannot create American jobs. When he promotes energy initiatives in America or in partnerships with other nations, they are initiatives that have proven to kill jobs and increase both energy costs and national debt. Governor Palin continues to be on the right side of this vital issue that links America's energy, economic, monetary, and national securities.

Governor Palin said it was a "false Utopian fairy tale that you don't need to drill for energy needs." The present green technologies were not mature enough and Alaska's abundant oil and gas reserves would serve as the bridge to the future.

How any Republican, even a nominal one like Murky, can support taxpayer subsidies for NPR is inconceivable. We've always known NPR was nothing more than a venue for liberals to disseminate their talking points, even before James O'Keefe's crew confirmed it on video.

The New York Times just can’t seem to get much of anything right lately. No wonder they’re facing economic and reputation woes. Their article today falsely reporting on my record as governor is full of spin, and I shall call them out on it.

Despite what the media and Governor Palin’s detractors say, her record has been effective and fiscally sound. It’s ironic that the New York Times’s attempt at journalism in highlighting misrepresentations of Governor Palin’s record comes shortly after they announced that they will be charging for access to their site due to shrinking readership. So, while they generate faux concern for Governor Palin’s fiscal legacy, they should probably be more concerned with their own.

Ari Fleischer et al would do well to remember the crowds Governor Palin drew on the campaign trail in 2008: 60,000 to the Villages in Florida, 20,000 to a rally in Fairfax, Va. Do they really think that THESE folks won't be back to the Palin rallies?
