In the 1980s, Ronald Reagan worked tirelessly to clean up Carter’s malaise and restore America’s spirit, economy and international standing, and his success in that endeavor ranks him as one of America’s greatest presidents. If Governor Palin runs for president in 2012, she will essentially have to perform the same task.

The Arctic National Wildlife Refuge, or ANWR, could produce 1 million barrels a day by itself. At today’s $100 per barrel, ANWR’s 10.4 billion barrels of oil are worth over $1 trillion to the U.S. economy.

So basically Brzezinski is raising the possibility that US warplanes will shoot down the planes of one of our best allies in order to defend one of our worst enemies, Iran. In other words, America will defend Iran against Israel.

Poland and The Czech Republic have been two of our staunchest allies in the war on terror and Obama’s decision is, to me, not qualitatively different from what Neville Chamberlain did at Munich in 1938 when he appeased Hitler, thus exposing Czechoslovakia to a most unfortunate fate.
