Ellis Island and Liberty Island truly endure as lasting beacons of hope and the opportunity to live an American dream. Lady Liberty is the symbol of unity and friendship we have with other freedom-loving nations. It’s also a “warning” of sorts, as France encouraged us to keep democracy alive as the recipient of this gift… basically telling us not to blow it. Thank you for this reminder, France!

Unfortunately, the Dream Act kind of usurps that-the sytem that is a legal system to make sure that immigrants who want to be here legally, working hard, producing, and supplying revenue and resources for their family that they’re able to do that right and legally. Unfortunately, the Dream Act doesn’t accomplish that.

I’d encourage all, especially those who live close by, to take advantage of opportunities to learn about these historical sites and find inspiration to keep up the fight for what is right in America.

It’s rare that we agree with something Ms. Palin says, but she had it absolutely right when she said at Ft. McHenry “Competition breeds success. I would hope there is gonna be vigorous debate and a lot of aggressive competition even in our primary so that our voters have a good choice.”

It’s not a radical agenda at all. It’s all about allowing the private sector to grow and prosper by keeping more of what we earn and reinvesting in our businesses so that we can create more jobs.
