Instead of giving companies millions or billions in taxpayer dollars in an attempt to create jobs or giving preferential treatment to favored companies or campaign donors, Governor Palin sought to remove the ties of cronyism and truly create a level playing field where businesses are neither too influential to fail, nor too small to succeed

Obama believes that the president and the government are the only ones capable of stimulating the economy and creating employment for the unemployed. Obama’s bus tour which is both, government funded and led by the president is therefore deserving of an analysis of its effectiveness in stimulating the economy.

I’m flabbergasted. When Obama signed the bill two years ago, we were assured that the economy would come roaring back to life, and that unemployment would remain below 8%. Surely the White House would jump at the chance to tout the wonders of what, along with the wildly popular ObamaCare, was one of the the signature achievements of Obama’s first two years, no?

Ever since Governor Palin was named as the Republican vice presidential candidate, her adversaries have tried to make the case that she is not really a fiscal conservative. They whine about her increased spending between the 2008 and 2009 budget, claiming that this proves she is not a fiscal conservative. Yes, spending did go up. [...]
