The Budget Control Act reveals that for their part, the Republicans accepted complete capitulation with a few face-saving bones thrown their way. It is a betrayal reminiscent of the movie Braveheart, when the Scottish nobility deserted the field, abandoning William Wallace to defeat. Republican leaders abandoned the Tea Party, not for compromise, but for the sake of their own hides.

Perhaps as a group, the Tea Party has come closest to receiving the kind of vindictive normally reserved for Palin alone.

The undefeated are those who refuse to stop fighting the corrupt, entrenched, cronyism of business and politics for the benefit of We The People.

By going Galt (or going rogue as she put it), Palin proved what she is made of. I would encourage conservatives, tea party patriots, and any one who believes in the power of the individual to take a stand against the powerful and make difference, to take a second look at this real life Jane Galt, as she gets ready to embark in her most difficult challenge ever.

Conservatives are optimists. We believe in the American people and confidently await the day they wake up and reject this “Obamanation.”

For Sarah Palin, there is only one way for her “fundamental restoration of America” to take place—first, she must run.

It’s obvious who the puppets are in this debate, and it certainly isn’t Governor Palin.

I was honored to be in Madison, Wisconsin, yesterday with a group of strong patriots willing to rough the snow and cold to stand together in solidarity. You can see a video of the speech here and below is a transcript.

Palin’s Madison speech reminds us of some important things. She’s not in the least bit afraid of a tough crowd. She’ll hold members of her party accountable if they don’t keep their word. She is passionate about the Tea Party movement and isn’t about to abandon her conservative principles in order to fit in with what’s cool in D.C.

What we want first and foremost in our GOP standard-bearer is someone unafraid of the MSM, and who takes the fight directly to Obama. We also want them calling out our friends in DC when they — to paraphrase the Governor — rearrange the deck chairs on the Titanic after they’ve promised to stop Obama from hitting icebergs.

As Doug noted earlier, “Governor Palin is showing a tremendous amount of courage and leadership by literally traveling to the “lion’s den.’” This is not just lofty rhetoric. The threats are mounting, and they should be taken seriously.

It couldn’t happen to a nicer guy. The intrepid Sheriff Clarence Dupnik, who made outrageous charges sans any evidence whatsoever against Governor Palin, Rush Limbaugh, and the entire Tea Party movement, is facing a recall election.

With only the barest outline of events available, pundits and reporters seemed to agree that the massacre had to be the fault of the tea party movement in general, and of Sarah Palin in particular. Why? Because they had created, in New York Times columnist Paul Krugman’s words, a “climate of hate.”

Governor Palin has written an excellent piece at the National Review about lessons that can be learned from the 2010 elections and how these lessons can be applied going forward into 2012: Now that the dust has settled on the 2010 midterm elections, it’s slowly becoming clear just how monumental the results really are. We [...]

As Governor Palin stated repeatedly on her FoxNews appearances last night, with Republicans now controlling the House and with gains in the Senate, it is time for the White House and Congress to work together. However, these newly elected individuals must not, as Governor Palin reiterated throughout the night, compromise on principle–both with the Democrats [...]

The Left again proves itself to be devoid of a basic knowledge of American history. Yesterday at the Tea Party Express rally in Reno, Nevada, Governor Palin spoke with appropriate cautiousness about celebrating electoral victories prematurely by telling rally attendees to not “party like it’s 1773 just yet”. As conservatives know, 1773 was the year [...]

On Wednesday, Chris Matthews spoke of the Chilean mine rescue efforts. Rather than viewing it as a triumph of the strength of the human spirit, teamwork, and ingenuity, Matthews used this situation to take a gratuitous slap at the Tea Party in an interview with union boss Richard Trumka (yes, that Richard Trumka): CHRIS MATTHEWS: [...]
